Anastasia Beverly Hills Cream Contour Kit REVIEW

For a while now I’ve been wanting to try out a good cream contour kit, and I finally decided to bite the bullet and get the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit. I actually had never tried out anything from ABH before but I knew how highly raved about they were, so I was super excited to try it! Although I have tried powder contouring before, this was also my first time trying a cream contour, so I was a little bit nervous about how it would look and whether it would just seem really over the top in real life, but I have to say I really love the application and the result of this product!  IMG_3809

I decided to get the “Fair” shade, because I’m super pale and I knew anything else would just be way too dark for me! What I especially love about this palette is that you get six different shades, three highlights and three contours, so you can mix colours to get the right match for your skin. I also love that you can take the pans out of this palette, which would make it easier for travel and cheaper to replace a few pans than the entire palette.

The texture of these creams are surprisingly thick, and almost dry, which at first is a little intimidating but when blended out with a damp beauty blender leaves you with the absolute perfect contour, plus it makes it easier to control how much product you apply as well as allowing you to build it up for a heavier contour. Although I do really love this kit, I personally wouldn’t use it everyday as it is quite an intense look if you use both the highlight and the contour shades on your entire face, however I do like to use the darker shades on their own sometimes for a longer-lasting contour. I also like to set this with a powder contour, to make sure everything stays in place and that everything is fully blended.

The colour selection in this palette is great, you get two lighter shades which are great for highlighting/concealing, a gorgeous shimmery-pearl cream highlight which is perfect along the cheekbones, and three darker shades for contouring and shading. My favourite shades to use are “Fair” and “Fawn”, with “Lustre” to highlight. I have to say I absolutely adore this kit, and although it is a little pricey at £39, I know it’s going to last a really long time and it’s such great quality, plus you get a good amount of shades that you can take out and replace. This is now my absolute favourite contour kit to use whenever I want a heavier contour that looks flawless, and I really want to try out other products from the ABH line! Get this contour kit here.

Let me know in the comments what Anastasia Beverly Hills products you think I should try, and if you love this kit as much as I do!
