As a total shopping addict, Black Friday is one of my favourite times of the year – I even prefer it over my birthday. There’s not a lot I love more than a good bargain (I mean family, TV – that’s about it), so it will come as no surprise that I save up well in advance for Black Friday and often tend to go a little bit crazy. Only a little.
There have been so many amazing products that have come out this year, but not many which I could justify spending that much money on when I already had similar products already, or simply other things I needed more. But fortunately, Black Friday came through for me again, and I finally got my hands on the products I’d been lusting after practically all year (as well as a few essentials). Here’s my Black Friday Haul.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in ‘Soft Brown’
This product isn’t actually that expensive, £15 is pretty great value for the quality and amount of product you get. However, I was hesitant to purchase this because I already owned the Benefit Brow Wiz and I just felt like I didn’t really need this, but as Black Friday rolled around and my annoyance with my brows grew even stronger, I finally took the plunge and bought myself it. I initially was a little worried that I’d buy the wrong shade – I already own the ABH Brow Wiz in ‘Auburn’ and I find it a little too red even for me. Fortunately though, ‘Soft Brown’ is the perfect warm shade for me without being too dark, red or ashy. This makes doing my brows so easy, and as a plus, Cult Beauty had £15 off of all orders over £100 for Black Friday (yes I spent over £100 – I’m an addict okay?) so I practically got this for free.
Stila Correct & Perfect All-In-One Color Correcting Palette
I’ve been using green concealer way before colour correcting became a thing, which made it super hard to find any good green concealers because it just wasn’t popular. Of course, when colour correcting did get popular I just knew I had to get one of these palettes – I believe I even put it on my Makeup Wishlist! This palette is awesome, it has five cream colour correctors and two brightening powders which is basically everything you’ll ever need and more. The cream shades start off sheer but are really buildable, plus they’re covered by a flap of plastic so they won’t get messed up by the powders, I definitely recommend this.
It’s been so long since I last bought a beautyblender, and mine are practically starting to fall apart! I was in desperate need of a fresh, new sponge so I thought this was the perfect time to pick one up. The beautyblender is honestly the best makeup sponge I’ve ever used, if you haven’t tried it before you really should.
Hourglass Ambient Light Correcting Primer in ‘Luminous Light’
I’ve honestly been wanting to try this primer out for ages, this is the first product I’ve ever owned from Hourglass because, let’s be real, it’s crazy expensive. I’m so glad I bought it though, it makes your skin look healthy and luminous without being unnaturally glittery, and keeps your makeup lasting all day. I would absolutely love to try one of their Ambient Lighting Powders, but that’s gonna take a lot of saving!
Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops in ‘Celestial’
This was definitely the product I was most excited about buying – it’s literally the most stunning thing I’ve ever seen. It’s possibly the most intense highlight ever – a little definitely goes a long way with this – but it can be made more subtle by mixing it in with foundation or moisturiser to just give you a pretty glow. You get a lot of product and this will absolutely last you a super long time, so it’s worth the slightly higher price tag. Trust me, with this, my glow is gonna be blinding.
Morphe 18 Piece Professional Brush Set (684)
I don’t own that many brushes so I was on the hunt for some that were good quality without being too expensive. I found this 18 piece set on Cult Beauty for only £36 (!!) and I knew I had to get it. I love Morphe brushes, they’re such good quality whilst still being extremely reasonably priced, and I love that this one comes in a cute leather case so I can easily travel with them! This brush set is perfect for people who are just beginning to grow their makeup brush collection because it basically has you covered; it has a great range of face and eye brushes as well as a spoolie and lip brushes, this set literally has it all.
So that was my Black Friday Haul – I know, I definitely went a little overboard! Let me know in the comments below what great deals you got during Black Friday weekend and what items you bought. See you next time!
