Blogmas 2017 Day 16: My Favourite Christmas Movies

If you’ve been reading my Blogmas posts then you’ll know that yesterday I wrote a post on my favourite TV Christmas specials, so it’s only right that I do my favourite Christmas movies today!

Christmas movies are truly one of my favourite things, when done right they’re just totally timeless and can be rewatched every year without fail. I actually have quite a few favourite Christmas movies (and maybe one you might not expect – no, it’s not Die Hard), so without further ado let’s get into the post!

This is such an obvious choice, but it’s easily my favourite Christmas film. Will Ferrell is one of my favourite people ever so I absolutely love this, and nothing gets me feeling more festive than watching this a couple (or maybe like a hundred) times.

I genuinely watch The Holiday any time of the year, but since it’s technically a Christmas film I guess I should put it on this list. It’s the absolute best romcom ever created, and with four of my favourite actors starring in it you really can’t go wrong.

I love really hilarious Christmas films, and for me this ticks all the boxes. It’s definitely one of the best Christmas films out there and Chevy Chase is just incredible – this is such a classic that if you haven’t seen it you need to get on it immediately.

I feel like this is such an underrated Christmas film, but it’s so good! It’s hysterically funny throughout but has a beautifully heartwarming ending – what more could you want from a Christmas movie?

I don’t know if anyone would agree that this is a Christmas movie, but the ending is set at Christmas and it’s always played over Christmas so I’m saying it is, okay?! This is one of my favourite ever movies and I love how adorable Edward Scissorhands is, although it’s totally heartbreaking it weirdly makes me feel super Christmassy.

Okay so this really isn’t a Christmas movie. Like, at all. But it’s takes place over two Christmases (suck on that, Die Hard) so I’m going with it. This is probably my favourite movie ever, I’ve watched it easily 20 times at least and it never stops being funny for me. Plus the Christmas scenes get me feeling super festive, so shoot me.

Those are my favourite Christmas movies! Let me know in the comments what your favourite Christmas movies are and what you thought of my selection. See you for day 17 tomorrow,

A x

I love some of your Christmas films choices but I’m yet to see National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation!

My favourite Christmas film is The Grinch but I also watched Almost Christmas this year for the first time and I really enjoyed it!
