Blogmas 2017 Day 19: The Perfect Winter Nail Varnishes

Winter nail varnish shades are probably my favourite because you can get super festive with tons of glitter and metallic shades. I love going for some less traditional shades in winter too, as well as some of the obvious classics, so I thought I’d share with you guys my favourite winter nail polishes!

CHANEL NAIL COLOUR IN ‘ROUGE RUBIS’

This is such a classic red that is super festive and perfect for winter. Although Chanel polishes are pricey, the quality definitely makes up for it – I can wear this without a topcoat and it’ll easily last me two weeks. I know I’ll be wearing this shade on Christmas day.

ESSIE MULTI DIMENSION TOP COAT IN ‘SPARKLE ON TOP’

You can’t beat a sparkly topcoat for the festive season, and I really think that this might be the perfect one. I love that it isn’t a traditional glitter topcoat and instead has iridescent flecks in it, it’s totally unique and is a great way to add some sparkle to your nails this winter.

LANCÔME NAIL VARNISH IN ‘522’

I’m a sucker for a gold nail during winter, and this deep, bronze-gold shade is absolutely stunning. I love the metallic finish of this, and it also has tiny bits of glitter that make your nails sparkle beautifully when they hit the light. This is the perfect polish for a Christmas or New Year party!

CIATÉ NAIL POLISH IN ‘FIT FOR A QUEEN’

If you’re more of a cool-toned kinda person then this silver will be right up your alley. I think any metal-toned shade is perfect for winter, but silver is especially festive and pretty much works with any outfit!

O.P.I. NAIL LACQUER IN ‘PEACE & LOVE & OPI’

This definitely isn’t your traditional winter shade, but look at how beautiful it is! It has an oil slick vibe about it, and has a purple, teal or emerald shift depending on the lighting. This is easily one of the most gorgeous nail varnishes I own, and it’s absolutely perfect for NYE.

ESSIE NAIL LACQUER IN ‘MIDNIGHT CAMI’

There is something about a metallic navy blue that is just so festive to me, I really can’t explain it. This is a gorgeously deep navy that becomes a true sapphire in the light, it’s so pretty and majestic – perfect for winter.

ESSIE NAIL LACQUER IN ‘WICKED’

Whilst I love a classic red, sometimes I want something a little deeper for winter. This claret is so regal and wonderfully festive, and I actually think it’s a little more elegant than a bright red. This is another shade that would work well with any outfit, and it looks beautiful on all skin tones.

So those are my perfect winter nail varnishes! I hope you guys enjoyed this post, let me know in the comments what your favourite winter nail shades are. See you tomorrow for day 20,

A x

I love absolutely all your choices! I love some sparkle on my nails so I need to get the Essie sparkle top coat!

The Lancome nail varnish in ‘522’ looks so pretty. I have started coating my nails in colour recently after letting them grow and strengthen for a couple of months. Now that I am happy with them I have been adding colour for the festive seasons and stealing some of my mums shades.

I love that you’ve picked a lot of shimmery/iridescent colours! Completely different shades to my festive picks but shows how many options there are out there 🙂
