Hello and welcome to day two of Blogmas. Buying people presents is genuinely one of my favourite things, my absolute dream job would be a professional gift buyer. There’s just nothing like the feeling of getting a present that is so perfect for someone, and then getting to see the look on their face when they open it.
Today’s post is a gift guide that will attempt to hit most of the types of people you have in your life and what they might like – and if not, hopefully I’ll have it covered in part two tomorrow! Instead of splitting this gift guide into male and female (which never works) or into different family members, I’ve decided to do it by type of people. Not quite sure what I mean? Then just keep on reading.
THE ONE WHO LOVES TO TRAVEL
Got a friend who’s always travelling? Then I’ve got you covered.
We all have that one friend who is constantly in another country, so why not get them something useful but still super cute this Christmas? I love that this has a world map embossed onto it, and the personalisation makes it completely unique – plus for only £20 it looks a lot more expensive than it is.
MINI CORK GLOBE – £40
Not only is this a cute decoration for their house/apartment/bedroom, but it’s also super useful. Your globetrotter friend can plan where they want to go next, and also mark off all the places they’ve been! They could even attach photos or postcards from their time there and create a cute little memory globe. It’s a super unique gift idea that I guarantee they won’t see coming.
Similar concept to the globe but way cooler (and also cheaper). Not only does this contain maps that they can scratch off the places they’ve been to on, but it also has 300 bucket list ideas and a 68-page journal with must-see and must-do experiences around the world. I mean, is there even a better gift for someone who loves to travel? I don’t think so.
THE MAKEUP JUNKIE ONE
Too many makeup options to choose from? Let me help out.
Want to get your makeup-loving friend something but have no clue what shade to go for? Rihanna’s most recent addition to her Fenty Beauty line is a matte liquid lipstick in a gorgeous shade that promises to be every skin tone’s perfect red. This is probably the easiest gift you could buy a makeup lover, because everyone’s raving about Fenty Beauty and you really can’t go wrong with a universal lipstick.
This gift is guaranteed to be a hit with any makeup lover, because who really has time to clean all of their makeup brushes and wait for them to dry? This will clean and dry makeup brushes in seconds, allowing them to reuse an eyeshadow brush even if it’s covered in hot pink shadow – they just need to give it a quick rinse and dry with this and they’re good to start blending with a fresh shade.
I don’t think there’s any makeup lovers out there who aren’t at least a little obsessed with highlighter. For the price of a full Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops you can get this set of minis, allowing your makeup junkie friend to try out a bunch of shades without committing all that money to just one. You’re welcome.
THE GAMER ONE
Buying games for a gamer can be pretty tricky; they usually own all the games they want. Merch is the way to go, trust me.
PAC-MAN GHOST LIGHT – £35
I don’t believe there are any gamers out there who don’t like Pac-Man. Not only is this light game-themed, it’s also totally awesome and would make for a super cool and unique gift. This would be especially cool for kids who could show it off in their room, but I guarantee that a gamer of any age would cherish this.
Any true gamer would appreciate how cool and retro this game is. It would be so much fun to play on Christmas Day, and I bet there’ll be a ton of arguments on who gets the next go. This would also be the perfect present for anyone obsessed with Stranger Things, it all fits into a similar theme.
DUDE I’M NOT ZELDA T-SHIRT – £15.54
Any Zelda fan will tell you there’s nothing more annoying than people thinking Link is called Zelda. So why not express their annoyance with a t-shirt? Everybody loves t-shirts – I know I do – so this is sure to please even the pickiest of gamer friends on Christmas Day.
THE MUSIC LOVING ONE
Can’t remember what your friend’s favourite music is? Get them something to listen to it with instead.
CLEAR CASSETTE PLAYER – £38
Retro is making a comeback, so why not stick with the trend and get your music-loving friend a rad cassette player. Then they could listen to their music and pretend to be Star Lord, isn’t that cool? You could even go old school and make them a mixtape to go with the cassette player – now that would be a pretty awesome gift.
Everyone loves vinyl nowadays, so help your musical friend stay cool and current by gifting them one of these. This has built-in speakers and a headphone jack, so they can listen to their music any way they want to. A record player is a pretty major gift, and any music lover is sure to absolutely love it.
BEATS SOLO3 WIRELESS ON-EAR HEADPHONES – £209.99
Got a loved one whose always damaging the wire of their headphones or doesn’t have a headphone jack in their phone? They’re gonna seriously appreciate this gift. Beats have incredible sound quality and they’re also noise cancelling – so they’re the perfect gift for somebody who lives with a lot of people and needs some peace and quiet.
So that was Part One of my gift guide! I hope you guys enjoyed this post and got some interesting gift ideas – if not then hopefully you’ll find the perfect present tomorrow. See you tomorrow for Blogmas day three,
