Games are one of my absolute favourite things. I’m honestly like a little child and consistently annoy my family by pestering them to play some board games with me. Christmas is one of the few times of year when they are happy enough to oblige, which, I’m sure you can imagine, is to my great delight.
Whilst they may pretend to not want to play board games, we actually have a huge collection in our house so I’m pretty certain they all love it as much as I do. Since I own so many games, I thought I’d share with you all my favourites – here they are!
- CLUEDO – Really any type of Cluedo will do, but my family seems to collect them. I think we currently own Sherlock, Harry Potter and Game of Thrones themed Cluedos as well as the original – I’m actually certain we have more but I can’t think what type at the moment. Cluedo is probably the game we play most as a family, and since Game of Thrones is our most recent addition I’m sure it will be making many appearances on game nights.
- MONOPOLY – Another classic game is Monopoly – and this is another game that we have almost a million different types of (don’t ask, we’re a family of nerds okay?). I personally really love the card version because I have two dogs that would happily eat paper money (and have eaten real notes in the past) but of course any version is great!
- ABOUT TIME – I only discovered this game last year but it’s so awesome. It’s sort of like Trivial Pursuits but you have to guess the year that every event took place. I’m absolutely rubbish but that only makes this game more funny because my guesses are always way off!
- HEADS UP – Who doesn’t love Heads Up? It’s such an easy game to play and doesn’t require any set up – all you need is your phone! They have so many different packs to choose from (my personal favourites are accents and the singing one because they’re always hilarious) and this game always leaves my crying with laughter.
So those are my favourite games to play at Christmas! I hope you guys enjoyed this post, let me know in the comments what some of your favourite games are. See you for the final day of Blogmas tomorrow,
