Blogmas Day 6: Winter Wonderland

Blogmas Day 6: Winter Wonderland

I recently took a trip to Hyde Park for Winter Wonderland and thought I’d document it for the sixth day of Blogmas. This was my first ever visit to Winter Wonderland, and I’d definitely do it again. This year is the 10th Anniversary of Winter Wonderland, which is really impressive! If you’ve never been to Winter Wonderland, it’s basically a huge Christmas fair-style event with market stalls and a lot of rides and attractions – it definitely gets you into the Christmas spirit!

They also have a huge range of cute bars and pubs there – as well as an ice bar! – that often have heated seating inside and some even play live music. Winter Wonderland itself is free entry, however a lot of the rides and attractions cost extra. I wasn’t actually that bothered about the rides and I just looked around the market stalls – there’s definitely enough for you to do without having to spend a lot of money!

The part I was most excited about was definitely the food and drink! You couldn’t go more than a few steps without being near a mulled wine stall (my favourite!), and there were so many delicious places to eat, serving doughnuts, churros and burgers to name a few.

They also have a huge ice skating rink which costs upwards from £8.50, this is another thing I didn’t bother with though because ice skating honestly terrifies me. If you do like ice skating though, people looked like they were having a lot of fun!

There was also a huge Bavarian Village inside the Winter Wonderland with a variety of bars and food stalls selling pretzels and Bratwursts – there were so many places to explore and so many different foods and drinks to try!

I’d love to go again but next time I’d go during the evening (it’s open from 10am-10pm), so I could see it all lit up and be able to sit in one of the bars listening to the live music.

If you’ve never been to Winter Wonderland before, I’d definitely recommend you go – it’s on until the 2nd January! It’s such an awesome experience, and with free entry there’s no reason not to!

I hope you enjoyed this post! Let me know in the comments if you’ve ever been to Winter Wonderland before, or if you have plans to. See you tomorrow for day seven of Blogmas!
