Bondi Sands 1 Hour Express REVIEW

I’m a little obsessed with fake tan – it’s the easiest and safest way of looking bronzed all year round which is all I’m really looking for in life.

Bondi Sands are the best selling self tan in Australia, and they’ve just recently made their way to the UK. I’ve heard about Bondi Sands a lot but I’d never tried any of their products before, so when they reached out to me to test out a fake tan of my choice I was beyond stoked.

I’d heard rave reviews about the 1 Hour Express Self Tan, and since I never have a lot of time and I hate sleeping in self tan (it just feels wrong, okay?), this seemed like the perfect solution.

They also sent me their double-sided tanning mitt, which is completely life changing by the way. I’ve tried quite a few tanning mitts in my time and nothing has given me the flawless, even finish that this one does.

I really love tanning mousses because I find them so much easier to apply, but this one is easier than anything else I’ve used. It goes on evenly and dries so quickly – it was the fastest tanning application I think I’ve ever done.

It smells amazing too – I love anything with a coconut scent – and I didn’t find it to start smelling biscuit-y or anything the way a lot of self tans do after they’ve been rinsed off. I also liked that this didn’t feel greasy or sticky once it had dried down, so I felt like I could actually get stuff done whilst waiting for it to develop without ruining the application.

I was so impressed with the colour, it made me look like I’d just gotten back from a vacation without being really orange or fake looking. I also felt that the hour developing time was easily enough for me, although you can leave it on for 2-3 hours to get an extra dark tan – which I’ll definitely be trying next!

You can also leave this on for only half an hour if you want a light-medium tan, although personally I think this would be a little too light for me.

I’ve had this on for almost a week now and it’s only just starting to fade, but even then it’s fading pretty evenly. I think you could definitely make this last even longer by applying a gradual tan daily, and I might try that next time to see how long I can make one application last.

Overall I’m super impressed with this tan, and I already have my eye on a couple more Bondi Sands products – specifically the gradual tan lotion and oil and the tan eraser (which sounds like a life saver!). I can’t recommend this tan enough, especially as it’s about to be spring when you’ll really be wanting to get your legs out! You can grab the Bondi Sands 1 Hour Express for £18.99.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post! Let me know in the comments what you’d recommend I try next from Bondi Sands. See you next time,

A x

I’ve never tried Bondi Sands, but I’ve always heard great things!
