I have been meaning to write this post for the longest time – honestly since about a month ago – but with some other more urgent posts that had taken up my time I’ve only just gotten around to it. What can you do, that’s life right? This post being pushed back does have some advantages though, as I’ve now had these lipsticks for quite a while so I’ve been able to thoroughly test them!
Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks – Charlotte Tilbury anything really – are raved about massively in the blogging community, and for good reason. I mean just check out that beautiful rose gold packaging, it pretty much sums up every bloggers aesthetic and makes for a seriously beautiful photo. But it’s not just the packaging that makes these lipsticks so lust-worthy.
The formula of these lipsticks is truly one of the greatest I’ve ever found – super creamy and hydrating but still with a pretty matte finish. The’re also intensely pigmented, and give a fully opaque finish in one swipe without any patchiness. Plus, they smell amazing – sort of a mixture between vanilla and chocolate!
My only complaint with this lipstick is that they claim to be long-lasting which they most definitely are not, at least not on me. These will last about an hour and a half tops on my lips, even less than that if I’ve eaten or drank anything, which although definitely doesn’t bother me because I don’t mind touching up, also doesn’t live up to it’s claim. Other than that, these lipsticks look absolutely beautiful on the lips and I really love the formula.
Let’s get onto my shades and swatches!
This is the shade that everybody is talking about, and I can totally see why. It’s a beautiful dusty rose-nude that would be super flattering on all skin tones, and it just looks so gorgeous on the lips. It’s also the perfect shade to complement any makeup look – it seriously goes with anything – and is easy to wear with a natural look during the day or something more dramatic in the evening. It’s actually just been restocked on the Charlotte Tilbury website for a limited time only, so if you haven’t already got your hands on it, now’s your chance!
Although this shade isn’t talked about nearly as much as ‘Pillow Talk’, it’s definitely my favourite Charlotte Tilbury Shade ever. It looks really dark and vampy in the tube but is way more muted on the lips, it gives me a sort of wine-stained vibe that I’m obsessed with. I think this shade would work in any season and on any skin tone too – it’s super unique and I can’t stop wearing it.
I totally recommend that you pick up a Charlotte Tilbury lipstick if you haven’t already, at £24 they’re definitely a “treat yo’self” kind of product but they’re totally worth it! A word of warning: Charlotte Tilbury products are addictive, trust me.
I really hope you enjoyed this post, let me know in the comments what your favourite Charlotte Tilbury lipstick shade is (and maybe recommend me a few more!). See you next time,
