Spring is most definitely upon us, so what better time to write a post all about my favourite spring lipsticks? I own a lot of lipsticks, so picking out my favourites was a very difficult task. But for you guys I have done it, and I hope this will possibly lead to you finding a new favourite spring lipstick of your own, or at least be an entertaining read for you all. So without further ado, here are my favourite lipsticks for spring.
RIMMEL LONDON ‘THE ONLY 1’ MATTE LIPSTICK IN ‘LEADER OF THE PINK’
If you’ve been reading my blog for a while you’ll know I’m totally obsessed with these lipsticks, and you can’t go wrong with this bright floral pink shade! This has a super matte finish but isn’t drying at all, and it lasts all day long. If I don’t want this to look too intense, I love dabbing it onto my lips with my fingers to create a pretty, stained look.
CHARLOTTE TILBURY MATTE REVOLUTION LIPSTICK IN ‘PILLOW TALK’
Everyone is obsessed with this shade at the moment and for good reason – it’s freaking beautiful. It’s the most gorgeous rosy-nude that would be flattering on every skin tone, and it’s delicate matte finish makes it so easy to wear on sunny spring days. I can’t say enough great things about this lipstick, if you can you should definitely pick it up.
COLLECTION CREAM PUFF MOISTURISING LIP CREAM IN ‘COTTON CANDY’
You can tell how old this product is because it still has the Collection 2000 packaging (embarrassing!), but luckily they still sell this in the same shade! The name has changed to Velvet Kiss Moisturising Lip Cream, but hopefully the whipped formula is the same. I absolutely love this product because it gives me the same vibe as a liquid lipstick but without the intense drying properties. Unfortunately for me, I can’t really wear liquid lipsticks often because they make my lips so chapped that they’re almost raw, so something like this is perfect for me. The shade is stunning too, I feel like it’s the perfect dupe for Kylie’s ‘Posie K’, although I don’t own it so I can’t compare to be sure – either way it’s a totally gorgeous lip product!
NARS SHEER LIPSTICK IN ‘DOLCE VITA’
I actually included this lipstick in my January Favourites, and although I love it all year round I think it’s especially perfect for spring. It has a completely sheer finish that’s a little buildable, which I actually really love for spring as warmer weather makes me want to do more ‘no makeup’ makeup looks. This shade is a totally beautiful dusty rose that pairs well with any look and is super easy to throw on, I love it.
GREEN PEOPLE VELVET MATTE LIPSTICK IN ‘DAMASK ROSE’
This lipstick is the perfect nude for spring, it’s a rose-nude with peach undertones that brings so much life and warmth to the face, I absolutely love it! It’s completely matte but isn’t drying at all, and isn’t too creamy so it doesn’t slip around on your lips. This lipstick actually launches tomorrow here (although it is available to pre-order), and you can use the code ‘NUDEOBSESSION’ to get 15% off!
NYX BUTTER GLOSS IN ’15 ANGEL FOOD CAKE’
Although this isn’t technically a lipstick, it is definitely the perfect lip gloss for spring. This also has a ‘Posie K’ vibe to it, and it’s actually super pigmented so it can be worn easily alone or on top of another lipstick. The scent of this is incredible too, it completely smells like vanilla cupcakes and you will want to eat it – just a warning.
NARS SATIN LIP PENCIL IN ‘RIKUGIEN’
I’m obsessed with the NARS Lip Pencils, and this shade (although I totally can’t pronounce it) is one of my favourites. It has a really pretty satin finish that looks incredibly delicate paired with the soft rosy hue, plus it feels really moisturising on the lips. The pencil shape actually makes it really easy to apply too, I can’t say a bad word about this lipstick.
SLEEK POWER PLUMP LIP CRAYON IN ‘NOTORIOUS NUDE’
This Sleek Lip Crayon makes a great dupe for the NARS Lip Pencils, the only difference is that this gently plumps your lips whilst wearing it! I always love a good lip plumper so this is a plus for me, and although it tingles it isn’t painful. The shade of this is super pretty, it’s a warm-toned rosy nude that is perfect for the warmer days of spring, and the satin finish makes it really easy to throw on and keep in your bag for easy touch-ups.
So those are my favourite lipsticks for spring, I hope you enjoyed this post and let me know in the comments what your favourite spring lipsticks are. See you next time,
