My Favourite Lipsticks for Spring 2018

The snow has finally stopped and the rain has taken its place, so I’m pretty sure it’s spring, right? Spring is a fairly ‘meh’ season for me, it’s basically just another obstacle between me and summer and I’m totally over it (plus it’s my birthday month, boo). But it does bring some pretty lip shades and I can always get behind that.

I’ve picked out five of my favourite lipsticks to wear during spring and I’m gonna be totally real with you, this post is pretty much going to be 50 shades of nude with a hint of pink. Those are just my favourite shades to wear okay? I’m just trying to keep this 100% real with you guys and let’s be honest, we all love a good nude.

So without further ado, here are my favourite lipsticks for spring!

This is one of Charlotte Tilbury’s most iconic lipstick shades and let me tell you, it lives up to all of the hype. It’s one of my favourite nude lipsticks ever; its rosy undertones make it perfect for spring but it’s honestly an amazing shade for any time of the year. I love that this has a soft matte finish whilst still being hydrating, and it’s the perfect addition to a fresh and glowy makeup look.

If I want to get a little more pink with my lipstick (which is rare but can definitely happen) then this is the lipstick that I reach for. It’s a pale pink that almost borders onto a nude, which makes it a lot more wearable for me. I’ve raved about this lipstick formula too many times but I really do love it, it’s the perfect matte without being overly drying.

The Colourpop Blotted Lips have recently become my newest lipstick obsession. I currently own three of the shades but this is the most perfect for spring. It’s a beautiful raspberry shade that makes you look like you’ve been eating an ice lolly in the best way, and you can build up the colour to be as subtle or as bold as you’d like.

What I love most about these lipsticks is that they already look blotted when applied – I’m that person who has to smudge or blot their lipstick because I just can’t stand it looking too defined, but this takes all of the effort out of that look!

If you want a true nude then this is the one to go for. This is a gorgeous, warm-toned nude, that would look beautiful on anyone, with a really pretty satin finish – plus it’s slightly plumping which is always a good thing. I personally love lip crayons because they’re so easy to apply and travel with, and this one is so sleek (ha!) that it doesn’t take up much room in your makeup bag.

This is another gorgeous nude, although it’s very light so I’d only recommend it to fair-light skin tones. It has a very pretty pink undertone but it’s still fairly warm-toned – it’s just perfect for spring. I’m not usually a liquid lipstick kind of person but I love how comfortable this satin finish is, and it’s not drying at all. The only shame is that the holographic writing scrapes off so easily!

L-R: Colourpop USL in ‘Aquarius’, Sleek Lip Crayon in ‘Notorious Nude’, Colourpop Blotted Lip in ‘Ice Cube’, Rimmel Matte Lipstick in ‘Salute, Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick in ‘Pillow Talk’

So those are my favourite lipsticks for spring! I hope you guys enjoyed this post, let me know in the comments what your favourite spring lipsticks are. See you next time,

Aw no! I love Spring! I think it’s great that it finally warms up a little, and all the florals and pastel colours come out. This is a great selection. Pillow Talk is a beautiful colour!xx

I just bought a ColourPop Ultra Matte lip and I really like it. I hadn’t tried too many Colourpop products before doing a bit of a haul not too long ago. I also really like Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks — I have Bond Girl and I wear it all the time.

    Great post! x
