February Favourites 2017

I know I say this in every favourites post, but this month has gone crazy fast. Like, even faster than usual. However, I am excited to be heading into March as it means spring is finally upon us – and hopefully it will bring warmer weather too. I actually have way more favourites this month than I normally do, which came as a total surprise to me! So without further ado, let’s get into this month’s favourites.

Love Cocoa Earl Grey Chocolate Bar

If you read my last post then you’ll know I was obsessed with the chocolate bars from Love Cocoa. I especially loved the Earl Grey flavour – I’m a huge Earl Grey fan and it added such a unique and amazing flavour. The Earl Grey gives it a little hint of citrus that pairs beautifully with the chocolate, but all of the flavours are so amazing, I highly recommend you checking out the Love Cocoa range!

Sleek Blush in ‘Antique’

I’ve been on the lookout for a good, dusty-rose blush for a while, and I managed to buy this one purely with my Boots Advantage Card Points (win!). I actually really wanted to try out the shade ‘Suede’ after hearing Kathleen Lights rave about it, but it had been sold out for about a month with no signs of restocking, so I just chose this one instead. I really love the look of nude, barely-there blushes – I’m not really a bright blush kind of gal – and this one hit all the marks for me. At first I was a little concerned with the amount of glitter in the blush that I hadn’t noticed on the website, however this doesn’t really translate on the skin and instead just looks illuminating and glowy. This blush is super pigmented so I have to use a really light hand, but I’m really enjoying it at the moment. Plus, for only £4.99 it’s a total bargain.

Colourpop Super Shock Shadow in ‘Wattles’

You might have seen my Huge Colourpop Haul I recently posted that included this eye shadow, and I honestly haven’t stopped reaching for this since I’ve bought it. It’s a dusty beige-pink with a satin finish that looks incredible in the crease, and I’ve been using it non-stop for a really soft, romantic eye look. I won’t go into too much detail as I’ve already done a full review on this eyeshadow, but it’s definitely been a huge favourite of mine this month.

Sleek Face Form Palette

I bought this palette back when I was 15 or 16, around 3-4 years ago, and although I enjoyed it at first I stopped reaching for it after a while as I bought new products that I preferred. However, I was recently trying to find a more subtle highlight in my collection as I’ve been loving a more natural finish lately, and I ended up stumbling upon this guy. I remember I used to really dislike this highlight as it didn’t give me the Anastasia Beverly Hills glow I’d been looking for, but when I tried it out again I found it had the most beautiful, natural glowy finish. Although I don’t really love the blush in this – it’s a dupe for the NARS ‘Orgasm’ blush but it’s super chunky and glittery – the contour shade is pretty good. However it’s the highlight in this palette that has really been a favourite of mine this month, it’s just so pretty!

Rimmel London Brow Shake in ‘Medium Brown’

Rimmel London recently launched their brand new brow product this month (I did a full review of all the shades), and ever since I received it I’ve been obsessed. It’s so quick and easy to use, it literally takes me about a minute to do my brows with this, and once it’s on it will not budge. I actually gave the blonde shade to my mum for her to try, she’s usually pretty picky with brow products but she absolutely loved this. I can’t recommend these enough, they’re only £5.99 and so worth giving a try.

Liz Earle Superskin Concentrate

I received the Liz Earle Botanical Cabinet as a Christmas gift last year (best gift ever!) which included a 2ml sample of this Superskin Concentrate. I absolutely fell in love with this after using it, but unfortunately I received an email son after telling me to throw the product away as they had found traces of glass in the batch, which obviously sucked. Luckily, Liz Earle have some of the best customer service and they sent everyone affected a 10ml Superskin Concentrate to make up for it, which was really kind of them. I was so excited to receive a full size version, and I’ve been using this product nightly to keep my skin hydrated. It’s a really beautiful product, a little expensive at £21 but definitely worth it.

Colourpop Lippie Stix in ‘Lumière’

My final favourite this month of course has to be another Colourpop product. I’ve become totally obsessed with this brand, and if custom fees weren’t so expensive I’d definitely be making another huge order! I’ve really been loving this lipstick recently, it’s a gorgeous mauve-pink with a not too matte finish that is perfect for everyday wear. This is one of the collabs that Kathleen Lights did with Colourpop and I absolutely love it, definitely a favourite this month!

So those were my favourite products this month, I hope you enjoyed this post and let me know in the comments what you’ve been loving throughout February! See you next time,

A x
