I absolutely love being tanned, but living in England that’s barely ever the case. Obviously the best solution for this would be to just follow the summer around the globe, however since I seem to be somewhat lacking in funds for that option, fake tan sounds like the next best thing. Luckily, Green People have come to my rescue and set me up with some self tan for both my face and body, so I’m ready to be a golden goddess all winter long (because who says being tanned is just for summer?).
As an incredibly lazy person I tend to prefer to do as little as possible in order to get a perfect tan, so the fact that these are both gradual and don’t need washing off is like music to my ears. These also both dry almost instantly, which is totally awesome because I’m the kind of person who will stand in my room not moving for about an hour as I’m too nervous to get dressed and end up with a streaky tan and stained clothes (please tell me I’m not alone).
The greatest thing about Green People is that they use all-natural products, so you don’t have to worry about it irritating your skin. Although both of these do have the typical fake tan-scent, it’s not too bad because it’s kind of covered by a herbal scent which is much easier to handle.
My favourite thing about these tans is that they develop completely evenly – although I did use a tanning mitt I wasn’t even slightly concerned about it getting streaky. The body one also seems to be incredibly moisturising, it didn’t cling to any dry patches at all and it was so easy to apply. The only slight downside to the gradual tan for the face is that it isn’t quite as hydrating as I would like, and whilst I would typically apply an oil on top of my moisturiser to help my dry skin I didn’t want to mess up the fake tan, so my face was left feeling a little tight.
Other than this, I absolutely loved both of these fake tans and they gave me a gorgeous colour in just one application! These products are really easy to layer up, but I find that one coat on my pale skin pretty much does the trick – at least for winter. You can actually use the face gradual tan as a daily moisturiser, but I think I’d probably only use this about twice a week so I could make sure my skin kept hydrated enough.
Overall I’m very impressed with these fake tans, they gave me a gorgeous, natural colour without being overly orange or grey-toned. They’re also probably some of the easiest fake tans I’ve tried! The fact that this is a gradual tan means that it’s also really easy to keep from going patchy, as you can just reapply every couple of days to keep your tan looking perfect!
I hope you enjoyed this post, let me know in the comments what you think about these fake tans! See you next time,
