Hylamide Pore Flush REVIEW

DECIEM have quickly become the creators of some of my favourite skincare brands (The Ordinary, anyone?), so when I was offered the chance to try out something from another of their brands, Hylamide, I couldn’t pass it up!

I received the Pore Flush to review, which is a plant-based product that claims to reduce sebum and minimise pores. This definitely sounded like something I’d be interested in, but I was a little sceptical about whether or not it would actually live up to it’s claims.

I love the simple packaging and bright colour of the bottle, it’s super eye-catching and looks incredibly modern. This actually comes in a spray bottle, but I don’t love the mist on this as it tends to spray a little too violently for my liking.  I typically just spray this onto a cotton pad and then wipe it across my skin like a toner, which I find disperses the product a lot more easily.

HOW IT WORKS:

  • BRIDEWORT BIODERIVATIVES – A biotechnology derivative that acts as a solubilizer of congestion within pores to flush them out. The name of the product is inspired by the pore-flushing activity of this technology.

  • BUCHU BIODERIVATIVES – Helps reduce visible sebum accumulation within pores which can cause pores to appear enlarged.

  • NATURAL MARINE POLYMERS – Forms a natural, non-clogging marine-derived film to tighten pores immediately and visibly reduce sebum even further through a different pathway than that offered by other technologies within the formula.

I’ve been using this for just over a week now and although I haven’t noticed a major difference in pore size, I do feel like it’s cleaned out my pores and stopped any breakouts from appearing. I especially noticed that it’s helped to stop breakouts on my cheeks where my glasses sit, which is often a trouble spot for me as dirt can get trapped there. I also love that it’s incredibly gentle, and despite using it morning and night everyday it hasn’t dried out my skin at all! It’s also not irritating, and I love the fact that it doesn’t include any alcohol as most pore treatments do.

Overall I’m definitely liking this product so far, and I can’t wait to see the long-term effects of it after continued use. This is only £13 for 120ml, which I definitely think is great value for money! If you want to try the product out yourself you can grab it here.

I hope you guys enjoyed your post, let me know in the comments what your thoughts are on this product. See you next time,

A x
