January Favourites 2018

January is finally over. I know everyone’s been talking about how long January has felt, but it really has felt like the longest month ever. I’m very happy that we’re now into February and a step closer to spring – I need warmer weather stat.

I have quite a few new favourites this month – a lot of them were actually December favourites but since I did a yearly roundup I decided to include them here instead.

I also totally forgot to photograph the L’Oréal Elvive Extraordinary Oil Low Shampoo Gentle Cleansing Cream (long name, I know), but it’s been a major favourite for me this month. It’s a non-sudsing shampoo that feels so hydrating and doesn’t strip my hair of any essential oils. It’s also made my natural curls way more intense, I can’t say enough good things about it!

Here are the rest of my favourites.

I got this ages ago in one of my Look Incredible boxes and although I liked it I didn’t really reach for it that much. I’ve recently started using it again and I absolutely love it, it’s the perfect rosey nude shade that looks so natural and pretty on the lips. I’m a huge fan of sheer lipsticks because they’re usually really hydrating and so easy to apply – the added mango butter makes this like a lipstick and balm in one!

I’ve talked about this palette so much on here but I can’t help myself, look at how beautiful it is! This has been my go-to palette all January, it gives you the most beautiful, golden eye look that’s super glowy and perfect for anytime of year. I love the shades and the formula so much that I’ve just purchased BECCA’s new eyeshadow palette, the Ocean Jewels Palette.

Their eyeshadow palettes are all limited edition, but this one is still in stock at Space NK so grab it whilst you can!

I recently hauled this foundation stick and I honestly fell in love with it at first use. If you have dry skin and have been wanting to try out a foundation stick then this is the one for you. It has a gorgeous light-medium buildable coverage with a dewy finish and I really think it might be my new favourite foundation. Plus you need so little that I know this will last me forever!

I actually got these for Christmas after needing some new eyelash curlers and they’re easily the best I’ve ever tried. They curl my lashes so perfectly and quickly – I only need to give these a few pulses to have perfectly curled lashes. It comes with backup rubber strips too which is always handy.

I’ve already reviewed this lipstick and gone into a lot of detail about how amazing it is, so of course it made its way into this month’s favourites. This really is everyone’s perfect red, and it’s beautifully matte without being drying. You definitely need a lip liner to stop it from bleeding, but otherwise this lasts literally all day – I love it!

Since I turn 20 this year *sobs* I definitely feel like an eye cream is a necessity. Liz Earle is one of my go-to brands when it comes to skincare, their products just really work for my dry/sensitive skin. I love how hydrating this feels, and it’s incredibly cooling too which is amazing for depuffing in the morning. I’ve been using this all month and I definitely think my eyes feel a lot more moisturised, and since you only need the tiniest amount I have a feeling this will last me a long time.

So those were my January favourites! I hope you guys enjoyed this post, let me know in the comments the things you’ve been loving this month. See you next time,

-A x

That Korres lipstick shade is literally stunning and I need it in my life, I feel like it’s one I’d reach for on a daily basis. That palette looks absolutely gorgeous as well! I really want to try out a stick foundation so I might have to give the Make Up For Ever one a go x
