My Latest Beauty Haul

If you follow me on Twitter (@theauburnagenda) then you may have seen me get a little overexcited when my student finance came in. So I ended up buying a ton of stuff.

You know how you always seem to run out of makeup all at once? Yeah, that basically happens to me way too often. I had completely gone through my concealer, powder and mascara and was desperately in need of repurchasing.

My skin has also been having the worst time at the moment, it’s seriously never been this dry so I needed to grab some stuff to help with that. I also believe it’s good to treat yourself sometimes (I mean I absolutely need to put myself on a no-buy after this but who cares), and boy did I do that this month. I always love seeing people’s recent purchases so I thought this would be a fun little post to do – oh, and expect a fashion haul coming soon (I’m not even sorry).

I have been wanting to try Sunday Riley for the longest time, so when my skin started freaking out and nothing was helping I knew it was time to take the plunge. I opted for this oil which is supposed to be incredibly hydrating and wow I don’t think I’ve ever loved a product more.

I don’t want to say too much because I’m planning on dedicating a full post to this after a good couple weeks of testing (I mean, I’d be a fool not to) but in the past week I’ve been using this my skin has become so much softer and clearer. I genuinely think they must use witchcraft to create this because surely no oil can be this incredible, but this one is and it’s worth every penny.

This is nothing too exciting, but I did just run out of this and since it’s my holy grail mascara I obviously needed to repurchase. This is one of the few mascaras that actually keeps my lashes curled whilst adding volume and length – I couldn’t live without it. If you still haven’t tried it then you definitely should.

Another holy grail of mine, I can’t not repurchase this concealer when I run out of it. I did go a little different this time though and get the shade ‘Custard’. ‘Vanilla’ is a little too light for me at the moment, and as spring is just around the corner (not really but in my mind at least) I like to fake tan my face a little to give a subtle bronzed glow.

This shade is my perfect spring/summer colour and I love that it has yellow undertones rather than pink which suit my skin a lit better. The concealer is also amazing, and since it’s about my tenth tube (at least) you can tell I love it!

I bought the travel-sized version of this powder last year to test it out, and when that ran out I knew I needed to pick up the full size. This is the most perfect powder for anybody with dry skin, it’s not too cakey or powdery so it doesn’t make your skin look extra dry. Instead it just adds a beautiful luminosity and radiance to the skin whilst setting your makeup, what more could you wish for?

I’ve been wanting to try a stick foundation for a while because they just seem so easy and quick to use, but I was always worried they would be super cakey and full coverage. After hearing that the Makeup For Ever one was practically made for dry skin, I knew it was the one for me. I love that they have so many shades and undertones to pick from too – not enough foundations have yellow undertone shades for fair skin.

This is the most beautiful foundation, and it really only takes seconds to apply. I would say this has a light-medium coverage – which is right up my alley – and a very dewy finish. I love that this doesn’t cling to any of my dry patches, instead it makes my skin look radiant and hydrated. I barely need to use any of this either to achieve my perfect amount of coverage (which I know is lighter than most people would like but what can I say, I love my natural makeup) so it’ll definitely last me a long time.

There was a point last year when everyone and their mothers were talking about this primer, and since it’s supposed to be perfect for dry skin I finally decided to try it. This gives my skin the most gorgeous, hydrated radiance ever and unlike a lot of dewy primers I can really feel this one moisturising my skin.

Whilst I wouldn’t say this makes my makeup last any longer, I don’t really care about that because I like my base to be minimal coverage anyway and this makes my skin so dewy that it almost has the illusion of naturally flawless. I probably won’t reach for this as much in the summer when I don’t need as much hydration, but for the winter it’s a must.

Whilst I love my Dipbrow, sometimes I’m just way too lazy to want to paint on every brow hair. This chunky pencil with the triangular tip gives me bushy, effortless brows in seconds – I almost think it looks more natural than the Dipbrow does!

The shade ‘Soft Brown’ is also my absolute perfect brow shade, if you have hair like mine which, although is auburn, leans towards a reddish-brown then this will probably work better for you than the ‘Auburn’ shade, which pulls way too red on me.

I was lucky enough to receive two of the Marc Jacobs Highliners in an Influenster VoxBox, and I fell in love with them so much that I just had to get a shade that was a little more me. ‘Brownie’ is a beautiful, warm-toned brown that looks stunning smudged along the upper and lower lash lines for a subtle, smoky look.

I’ve been wearing this everyday with just some simple eye makeup using my BECCA Après Ski Eye Lights Palette and it gives me the perfect natural makeup look – I love it.

So that was my beauty haul, I hope you guys enjoyed this post and let me know in the comments what you’ve hauled recently! See you next time,

At some point I’ll take the plunge into Sunday Riley, and I can see Juno being my first pick! I’ve been using a rosehip and argan oil blend and even that isn’t enough for my scales!

It’s the only thing that’s worked for my skin! Not even all of the Ordinary oils could make a difference!
