After a somewhat disappointing box last month, I was hopeful that April’s box would be a lot better – and it definitely fulfilled that hope. I can honestly say that this is the best box I’ve received so far, the brands included are incredible and I know I will love and use every product. I even think their standard box this month is better than their deluxe box!
If you haven’t heard of Look Incredible before, they are a monthly beauty box subscription service which have by far the best boxes I’ve ever tried, and actually offer two different types of boxes. The standard box, which I get, is £18.99 a month plus shipping, but they also have the deluxe box which is £35 a month including shipping and offers slightly more expensive brands, however both boxes give five full-sized products every month. This month’s box had an amazing total of £84.49 worth of beauty products, here’s what I got!
COLOURED RAINE MATTE LIP PAINT IN ‘MARS’ – £15
I can’t even tell you how excited I was when I saw that there was a Coloured Raine product in this month’s box, it’s a brand I’ve always wanted to try and I couldn’t believe it had been included! Although I’m not usually a liquid lipstick fan as I have naturally super dry lips, this has totally changed the game for me. It’s hardly drying at all, completely transfer proof and fully opaque with just one swipe – so much better than the Kat Von D liquid lipsticks. The colour is a gorgeous, deep nude-mauve that borders on brown and it would look totally stunning on all skin tones. This product has made me love the brand just as much as I hoped I would, I definitely need to try out more of their products and I can’t believe I’ve finally found a liquid lipstick that works for me!
WILD ABOUT BEAUTY EYESHADOW PENCIL DUO IN ’01 CHARLIE’ – £14.50
I was a little bit sceptical about this product when I first saw it, as my experiences with eyeshadow pencils have often been quite negative as they can be quite hard to blend. However, this formula is so creamy and really easy to smudge out without being too slippy and budging everywhere. The shades are really pretty too, the main eyeshadow pencil is a gorgeous champagne colour and the eyeliner is a stunning bronze. They pair really beautifully together to create an effortless but glamorous eye look – I think this would be the perfect item to travel with and I know I’ll be bringing it with me on my next holiday!
SISLEY CONCEALER BRUSH – £13.99
Anything from Sisley is great in my book, so I was really excited to receive this concealer brush. This is small enough that you can really spot conceal certain areas of the face as well as sharpening brows and lips, but I think this could also be used as a flat eyeshadow brush to add glitter or create an intense, foiled look on the lids.
JOSIE MARAN INFINITE ARGAN ENLIGHTENMENT DUO – £20
This is for sure my favourite item in the box – it’s also the first time I’ve ever had a Josie Maran product so I was really excited to try them out! This kit is based on hydration with both products containing Argan Oil, so these are definitely a godsend for my dry skin! The Argan Infinity Intensive Creamy Oil starts off as more of a cream before melting into an oil, and I love applying this to any dry patches on my face or as an extra-hydrating lip balm. As a highlighter fanatic (who isn’t?), the Argan Enlightenment Illuminizer is a dream come true for me, it gives the most perfectly natural, golden glow that looks so beautiful on the skin. Although both of these products are quite small, you only need a tiny amount of each so I know that they’ll last me quite a while. I’m obsessed with both of these products and I can already see myself using the highlighter non-stop throughout summer.
NARS VELVET SHADOW STICK IN ‘DARK ANGEL’ – £21
You guys know I love my NARS, so seeing one of their products in this month’s box was totally awesome. Although this is the second eyeshadow stick that we received in this box, it pairs so well with the other one to create a more intense smokey eye, and the formula is so pigmented and creamy that I can’t help but love it. The shade is a pretty basic deep brown that would pair with most shadows really nicely, and I feel like this combined with the other eyeshadow stick would create the most effortless and beautiful eye look that would work so well for summer.
BONUS GIFT – SOAP & GLORY HEEL GENIUS
This is the second time in two months that we’ve received a bonus gift in a box that hasn’t been listed on the product sheet – I don’t know if it’s an accident or not but I hope it keeps happening! This is one of the few Soap & Glory products that I’ve never actually tried, and with flip flop weather right around the corner I’m sure I’ll get a lot of use out of this!
So those are the products I got in April’s box! I felt like this month’s box had quite a summery theme, and I’ve definitely received a lot of products that I know I’ll want to travel with. April’s box has definitely made up for the disappointment from last month, and I can’t wait to see how they top this next time!
I really hope you enjoyed this post, let me know in the comments below what you thought of this month’s box! See you next time,
