After last month’s box – which was a total disappointment – I was left hoping that February’s box would be much better. Luckily this was the case, and I honestly think this might be my favourite Look Incredible Box ever! It had everything I felt was lacking in last month’s box and gave a great bunch of products, I can’t wait to share with you the contents of this month’s box!
If you haven’t heard of Look Incredible before, they are a monthly beauty box subscription service which actually offer two different types of boxes. The standard box, which I get, is £18.99 a month plus shipping, but they also have the deluxe box which is £35 a month including shipping and offers slightly more expensive brands, however both boxes give five full-sized products every month. This month’s box had a total value of £86.99 – which is crazy impressive! Here’s what I received in this month’s box.
Korres Mango Butter Lipstick in ‘Natural Rose’ – £9.99
I always love receiving lip products in subscription boxes, and as soon as I opened this I immediately fell in love with the colour. It’s a gorgeous deep rose shade that is almost berry-ish, but has a sheer finish so it looks ‘just bitten’ on the lips. The formula is super hydrating which is another aspect I love, and it’s so quick and easy to throw on without needing a mirror for pretty, on-the-go makeup.
Nails Inc NailKale Polish in ‘Westbourne Park Road’ – £15
If you know me, you’ll know that the Nails Inc NailKale polishes are my ultimate favourite nail varnishes ever – specifically the shade ‘Montpelier Walk’ – so when I saw this in my box I got so excited. These nail varnishes are truly the best I’ve ever tried, they are so creamy, last weeks without chipping and help to keep my nails strong. The shade of this is a gorgeous lilac-nude which I know I’m going to love wearing throughout spring, and this is definitely one of my favourite products in this month’s box.
Studio 10 Brow Lift Perfecting Liner – £22
At first I thought this was a really cool product; with both a brow pencil and a highlighting pencil in one I thought this would be the perfect product to travel with! However, the shades unfortunately don’t work for me. Although the brow pencil is supposed to be a universal shade it’s incredibly ashy – us redhead’s need warm-toned brow products so this definitely won’t work for me. Similarly, the highlighting shade is far too dark for my pale skin and really doesn’t highlight at all, so I think I’ll have to give this pencil to someone else. I also find these pencils too hard and not easily blendable – especially the highlighting shade – so this is a bit of a duff product for me.
Fresh Face Essence with Green Coffee – £20
I never buy myself Fresh products because they’re usually pretty expensive, so I always love to receive them in my Look Incredible boxes! This is a hydrating product with green coffee to brighten, tone and smooth the skin. I’m really excited to try this product out, and I think it will work really well as a light moisturiser during the summer.
Coastal Scents Revealed Smoky Eyeshadow Palette – £20
I’ve seen Coastal Scents Palettes before so I knew that they did a lot of Naked Palette dupes (although it’s still pretty expensive so it’s not really the best dupe on the market!). I was pretty excited to receive this dupe of the Smoky Palette as I’d been eyeing up the Urban Decay one for a while but wasn’t sure it was worth the money, so this is a perfect substitute! I’m actually really impressed with this palette, because you get twenty gorgeous shadows in a very sleek and compact palette, making it great to travel with because it’s light and you can create so many looks!
There’s a nice combination of matte and shimmers in this palette, so you really can use just this to create a number of looks. The shades are also surprisingly pigmented – very close to Urban Decay quality! – and are split into half cool-toned and half warm-toned shadows. I definitely think this palette is great for anybody starting out in makeup or who wants a palette that can do it all, because this palette really does have pretty much everything you need! The only shadows I’m not too impressed with is the light gold on the top row and the blue on the bottom, as both aren’t very pigmented and are a little bit patchy. However, I have to say I’m really impressed with this palette – it’s even cruelty-free! – and I love that we got something so amazing in this month’s box!
So that was this month’s box! I absolutely loved February’s box, and other than the brow pencil I think all the products we received are awesome!
I hope you enjoyed this post, let me know in the comments what you thought of this month’s box! See you next time,
