First Look Incredible Box of the year! I was super impatient to receive this month’s box, I was hoping the January box would be filled with amazing products to kick off 2017, and I wasn’t too disappointed (but I was a little bit). This month’s box had a total value of of £75.49, which is really impressive, however I didn’t love every product I received.
If you haven’t heard of Look Incredible before, they are a monthly beauty box subscription service which actually offer two different types of boxes. The standard box, which I get, is £18.99 a month plus shipping, but they also have the deluxe box which is £35 a month including shipping and offers slightly more expensive brands, however both boxes give five full-sized products every month. Here’s what I received in this month’s box.
Rosie For Autograph Dream Big Lashes – £15
I’ve tested a couple of Rosie for Autograph products in-store and really enjoyed them, so I was excited to receive this in my box. We seem to get a lot of mascaras in these boxes, however, so I personally would have preferred a different product such as one of her bronzers or highlighters, but I’m still excited to try this out. The packaging is also incredibly stunning – rose gold, every blogger’s weakness – so if nothing else, it will look gorgeous on my vanity.
bareMinerals 5-in-1 BB Advanced Eyeshadow & Primer in ‘Moss’ – £18
This is a really interesting product, I don’t think I have anything else like this in my collection. It’s a cream eyeshadow that also doubles as an eye primer – a handy little product that I really like the idea of. My only disappointment with this product is the colour, it’s a cool-toned olive/taupe shade that I rarely wear, so I’m not sure I’d get much use out of it. This might be one of those products that I have to give away.
bareMinerals Daily Recovery Concentrate – £19.99
This was a product I was very excited to receive. Although it is another bareMinerals product (I love bareMinerals so I don’t have a problem with this), this is one that I’ll definitely get a lot more use out of. If you’ve recently read my skincare post, you’ll know that I’ve learnt I have Dry/Sensitive skin, so this is the perfect product to rehydrate and soften my skin! I’ll definitely be adding this to my daily skincare routine.
Bee Good Honey & Camelina Facial Exfoliator – £10.50
I don’t tend to use facial exfoliators very often anymore, as my Foreo already does that for me, so this might be another product I give away. This seems like a fairly nice product though, and would probably make a great addition to a lot of people’s boxes.
Too Faced Flatbuki Brush – £12
My favourite product in this month’s box by far is this brush from Too Faced. Anything from Too Faced is really awesome to receive, and you can never have enough makeup brushes! I find this one perfect for contouring or blusher, as well as setting under the eyes – it’s a really versatile brush and I absolutely love it.
Overall, I would say that this box was pretty decent, I just wasn’t a huge fan of all of the products. I personally would have preferred to swap out the exfoliator and the eye primer for a face and lip product instead of two skincare and eye products, as that would give a nicer range.
So that was this month’s box! I hope that next month’s has a slightly better range of products – let me know in the comments what you thought of this month’s box (and if I’m just being picky!). See you next time,
