If you read last month’s post, you’ll know that I was hugely impressed by the February Look Incredible Box – so of course, my expectations were just as high this month. This month’s box definitely wasn’t as good as last month’s, however there were a couple of standout items that I’m really looking forward to trying.
If you haven’t heard of Look Incredible before, they are a monthly beauty box subscription service which actually offer two different types of boxes. The standard box, which I get, is £18.99 a month plus shipping, but they also have the deluxe box which is £35 a month including shipping and offers slightly more expensive brands, however both boxes give five full-sized products every month. This month’s box had a total of £81.97 worth of beauty products, here’s what I received.
FUSION BEAUTY ANTI-REDNESS PRIMER – £14.99
This isn’t the first time we’ve received a Fusion Beauty Primer in one of our boxes, so I was very excited when I saw this. I already have the brightening primer which is amazing, and I really love the look of this one – it’s a green primer for anti-redness, which seems perfect for me as I suffer from redness due to my sensitive skin. I think this is one of my favourite products in the box, and I’m definitely excited to try it out.
BAREMINERALS EYESHADOW PALETTE 4.0 IN ‘THE A LIST’ – £25
I initially was super excited when I saw that I had received a bareMinerals eyeshadow palette as I love the formula and the quality is insane. Unfortunately the shades in this palette aren’t really my thing, I don’t usually go for pinks and purples so I’m not sure I’ll get much use out of this. I might try using this for a spring makeup look or I might just give it away, but this palette was a little disappointing for sure.
SPA RETREATS SIGNATURE SOFTENING HAND & BODY LOTION – £9.99
I was immediately disappointed when I saw this product, as I’ve received stuff from this brand before and I’m definitely allergic to one of the ingredients in it. I also hate the smell of this, it kind of reminds me of toilet cleaner, so I think I’ll have to find somebody else who wants this.
ILIA TINTED LIP CONDITIONER IN ‘ARABIAN KNIGHTS’ – £22
Another one of my favourite products from this month’s box is this lip tint, it’s a beautiful berry shade that looks super flattering on the lips. It obviously has a sheer finish, but it gives your lips that ‘your lips but better’ look that I’m obsessed with. It’s also incredibly moisturising, plus the packaging is beautiful, so I definitely love that we received this product this month.
CIATÉ VELVET MANICURE SET – £9.99
We’ve received a lot of Ciaté Kits in these boxes, and I’ll be honest, I’m kind of getting sick of them. Although velvet nails might be cool for a special event, it’s unlikely that I’ll get a lot of use out of this. On the upside, I did get a nail varnish in the kit – however I’d prefer to just receive a nail varnish than a whole kit.
I’m really confused about this product, as it’s not listed on the product sheet so I have no real name for the product and no idea what the price is. It slightly concerns me that it says ‘Tester’ across the tube, however it definitely hadn’t been used so I’m sure there’s nothing to worry about. This is a brightening colour corrector in a chubby stick form, which seems a little difficult to use to me but does actually blend very easily. Although I’m really confused about why we received this product I’m glad we did, as I don’t own anything like it!
So that was what I received in March’s Look Incredible Box! Overall I was a little disappointed by this month’s box, and I’m seriously considering upgrading to the Deluxe Box sometime in the future, as it seems they put in a lot more effort with their products.
I hope you enjoyed this post, let me know in the comments what you thought of this month’s box! See you next time,
