L’Oréal Paris recently launched their new Infallible Paint range, and as I’m signed up for their emails I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to test out some of these products early! There were a limited number of Paint Boxes containing the new products for people to get their hands on, but luckily I managed to grab one.
Each box contained an Infallible Paint Eyeshadow, an Infallible Lip Paint, an Infallible Paint Blush and an Infallible Nail Paint. There were two boxes, each with different shade options that you could choose from – although I didn’t get a choice so I’m assuming the other option was out of stock. I’m super happy with the box I got though as it was the one I would have chosen in the first place – the other option was mainly pink shades which I’m not a huge fan of.
Infallible Lip Paint Lacquer in ‘Gone with the Nude’
I was super excited to try this out, as it’s a liquid lipstick with a lacquer finish that is totally moisturising – sort of the antithesis of a liquid lipstick, but I digress. I love the shade that I received; it’s a gorgeous warm toned dusty-nude with yellow undertones which is one of my favourite shades to wear. When I initially saw the tube I was a little concerned that it looked exactly like the lip glosses I had as a child in the early 2000’s, however my fears were put to bed when I unscrewed the cap and found there was an actual applicator. This has the typical liquid lipstick doe foot applicator, but with a slight ledge in it that cups your lips perfectly and applies the product like a dream. It also smells incredible – very candy-like and totally makes me want to eat it (but don’t worry, I won’t). I don’t think this is as long lasting as a normal liquid lipstick because obviously it doesn’t dry down, but it does last a pretty long time and keeps a high shine look to the lips.
Infallible Nail Paint in ‘Mixy Violet’
I have to admit I was disappointed when I saw this colour as I really dislike purple, however the other option was pink so I really wouldn’t have loved either of the available shades. Despite this, the pigmentation of this nail varnish is seriously awesome – I only needed one coat to make my nails completely opaque! The top coat really does give my nails a gel-like finish, and I’m really impressed by how long-lasting the shine is.
I absolutely love that the nail varnishes come with the connector which makes it super easy to travel with without losing bottles in your luggage, and the fact that you can separate them for easy application makes it even better! The polish has a pretty flat applicator – my favourite style for nail varnish – that is the perfect size to allow you to paint your nails both quickly and easily. I really love this nail varnish and I think it was my favourite product that I tried – even though I hate the colour!
Infallible Paint Chubby Blush in ‘Tangerine Please’
When I first saw this blush I was super intimidated by how bright orange it was, but when I swatched it and blended it out I was relieved to see that it transformed into a beautiful coral pink. It’s extremely pigmented so you definitely don’t need to use a lot, and I think it would look absolutely stunning in summer. It’s pretty long lasting for a cream blush and it’s super quick and easy to apply, making it great for simple makeup days.
Infallible Paint Eyeshadow in ‘Vicious Gold’
I was really excited when I received this to try it out, but I ended up being super disappointed. The colour of this is gorgeous, a simple true gold, however when blended out it just becomes barely-there gold glitter. I feel like this is trying to hit both the metallic cream shadow and the super intense glitter marks, and missing both by a long shot. It’s also really hard to work with because it’s very liquid-y, so it ends up ruining any eye look by pushing the shadow around. Overall this was a really disappointing product, especially because it was the one I was most excited about.
So that’s my review of the new L’Oréal Infallible Paint Range! I absolutely loved the liquid lipstick and the nail varnish, and I also really liked the blush, however I definitely wouldn’t recommend the eyeshadows as they’re just impossible to work with.
I hope you enjoyed this post! Let me know in the comments if you’ve tried any of the new Infallible Paint Range and what your favourite products are. See you next time,
