Makeup Trends I’m Loving | September 2016

As a follow on from last week’s post on the Fashion Trends I’m loving this month, I decided to do another post based on runway A/W makeup trends that I really love. Autumn brings vampy lips and smoky eyes, and I’m super excited to try out all of these looks!

Black Out

Chloé A/W ’16

My inner rock chick loves a black smudged liner eye-makeup look, so I’m very happy that this is on-trend for A/W. This is also probably one of the easiest and quickest looks to achieve, all you need to do is apply a kohl liner on the upper and lower lash lines and then smoke it out! I’ll probably be rocking this look all season long.

Bottega Veneta A/W ’16

One of the things I love most about A/W is that I can wear a dark lip any time of the day without it feeling too intense. A deep-coloured lip is a statement look all on its own, so this is a fast and perfect way to look put together when you have to be somewhere and don’t have a lot of time to get ready!

Peach Glow

Prabal Gurung A/W ’16

Peach is my absolute favourite shade when it comes to blush, so I really love that this subtle, pretty look is on-trend this season. A quick way to achieve this look is to find the perfect peach for your skin tone, and use the same product on both your eyes and cheeks for a subtle pop of colour.

Stained Red

MSGM A/W ’16

This is a trend I’m really excited about, because it’s actually a look I’ve been doing for a while now whenever I want more toned-down makeup. My favourite way to do this is to apply a balm first, and then dab on the lipstick with my fingertip; this creates a more natural, just bitten effect that I’ve started to prefer over a clean-cut look.

So those are the makeup trends I’m loving for A/W! Let me know in the comments which one of these looks you are most interested in trying, or some of the other trends you love for A/W!
