I have recently developed an insane addiction to bronzers. I’m not sure how or when it started, but I can’t stop buying them. So, of course, when I finally found the Marc Jacobs O!Mega Bronzer in ‘Tan-Tastic!’ in the U.K., I couldn’t help myself.
I’ve actually been trying to find this bronzer for months now, and after a recent search I finally found it at Harrods and literally bought it on the spot. If you’re wondering why I needed this bronzer so badly, it’s basically the way better little sister of the original ‘Tantric’ Marc Jacobs bronzer that is a more universal shade and smells like coconuts. Now being a fair-skinned girl with an obsession for anything and everything tropical, I had to have it. And I don’t regret a single thing.
Firstly let’s talk about packaging. I’m obsessed with this clean, white compact – it screams summer to me and totally fits my aesthetic. I love that the name and button are in silver, matching perfectly with the rest of the packaging and keeping the whole thing looking sleek. One of the best things about this packaging is the giant mirror, it makes it super easy to touch up your bronzer on the go.
I have to say the scent of this is easily my favourite thing about this bronzer. It pretty much smells straight up like Hawaiian Tropic and takes me away to a tropical vacation – I can’t get enough of it. I seriously need Marc Jacobs to bottle this scent and sell it as a perfume because I would buy so many bottles.
Not only are the packaging and smell of this bronzer good, the formula is incredible. It feels super buttery in the pan and blends out like a dream – it literally looks flawless in seconds! It’s actually really pigmented too, so a little definitely goes a long way. It’s also a huge pan of bronzer, so this is going to last you a long time.
I think this shade would be perfect for fair to medium skin tones, any darker than that and I think this would be a little too light. I really love that it’s the perfect combination of warm and cool tones, it bronzes up my skin beautifully without leaving it looking muddy (like my Hoola Bronzer does). It is a matte bronzer, which I prefer, but it definitely doesn’t look cakey or chalky, it actually has a really radiant, satin finish that looks super natural on the skin.
I honestly don’t have a bad thing to say about this bronzer, I really think it’s my new holy grail! I know a lot of people will think that this is way overpriced at £35, and don’t get me wrong that is a lot of money for a bronzer, but I personally feel that for the size and the quality that you’re getting it’s well worth it. You actually get 25g of product in this, which compared to the 8g you get in Benefit’s Hoola Bronzer (which is only £10.50 less) shows how much more product you’re getting for your money.
I hope you guys enjoyed this review, let me know in the comments what your thoughts are on this bronzer and whether or not you’d purchase it! See you next time,
