March is nearly over and it’s still not warm yet – what’s up with that? I’m really hoping that April will bring some sunshine because I’m so sick of being cold.
This month has really gone by in the blink of an eye, and I feel like I’ve had so little time to test out any new products and get some new favourites (ok so I tested a few, but nowhere near as many as normal!). However, I did rediscover some old favourites this month which made me wonder why I ever stopped using them.
So I’ll stop babbling now and let’s get into my favourites!
COLOURPOP PRESSED SHADOW IN ‘GLASS BULL’
I’ve been obsessed with ocean jewel-toned duo chrome eyeshadows recently, and this one ticks all the boxes. It has a rusty undertone which makes it a lot more wearable, but the purple/blue iridescent shimmer is just so beautiful and eye-catching!
I think these kind of shades really bring out the green in my hazel eyes, and I love how magical they look when they catch the light. I’ve pretty much been wearing this shadow on my lid with just a little bronzer in my crease as my eye look for the past month and I absolutely adore it.
NARS VELVET MATTE LIP PENCIL IN ‘DOLCE VITA’
This used to be one of my all-time favourite lip colours but I hadn’t used it in a while because I had so many other new lipsticks to try out instead. I’m so glad I’ve finally picked this back up though – it’s my perfect ‘your lips but better’, shade which is my favourite kind of lipstick to wear.
This also stays all day on the lips (even when you just smudge it out) and it’s so creamy and easy to apply. I almost need to get another one because I’ve used so much of it!
BURT’S BEES ALMOND & MILK HAND CREAM
As you all probably know by now, I have super dry skin everywhere on my entire body – including my hands. I’ve tried so many hand creams that feel like they do absolutely nothing, but this hand cream by Burt’s Bees has totally changed the game.
I’ve loved every Burt’s Bees product I’ve ever tried so I obviously had very high hopes for this and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. It smells like a combination of marzipan and cherry coke which is strangely delicious, and it’s insanely thick which is very necessary for my dry hands. Because this is so thick I like to apply this before I go to bed, and it means you wake up with hands as soft as a baby’s butt – which is a major win in my book.
STILA ALL OVER SHIMMER LIQUID LUMINIZER IN ‘KITTEN SHIMMER’
I’ve had this highlighter for ages but for some reason I never reach for it, which doesn’t even make sense because I love liquid highlighters. Luckily I stopped acting crazy and actually tested this out the other day and oh boy is it beautiful.
It’s a beautiful golden highlight without any glitter that would be so perfect for summer. I love that it doesn’t look shimmery or glittery on the skin, it just has a beautiful, radiant sheen which is exactly what I look for in a highlighter.
SIMPLE MICELLAR CLEANSING WATER
I’ve heard so many people raving about this and I don’t know why it took me so long to try it. I think it’s because I had a really bad reaction to the Garnier Micellar Water and it kind of put me off, but I should’ve known better than to avoid all micellar waters just because of one bad one. Simple is a really great brand for my sensitive skin, so it’s no wonder that I love this so much.
It feels so soft and cooling on the skin and completely removes any makeup, plus it leaves my skin feeling super soft too. If you haven’t tried this yet then I can’t recommend it enough.
WILD ABOUT BEAUTY EYESHADOW PENCIL DUO IN ’01 CHARLIE’
I got this in a subscription box a while back and I remember loving it, but because of all of my other eyeshadows I just didn’t reach for it that much. Since I’ve been having a lot of skin problems recently (eczema, dry skin, y’all know the drill) I’ve almost solely been using cream products, and this has been amazing.
I just smudge the chubbier end all over my lid and slightly up into my crease, and then use the liner side to smudge and smoke out along my eyelashes – easiest bronze smoky eye ever! I feel like this would be a really great thing to travel with too, so I’ll be keeping that in mind for summer.
So those were my March Favourites! I hope you guys enjoyed this post, let me know in the comments what you’ve been loving this month. See you next time,
