My Favourite Winter Nail Varnishes

My Favourite Winter Nail Varnishes

It’s finally (almost!) winter, which means it’s almost Christmas! I have to say I hate the weather during winter – I don’t do well in cold temperatures – however I do love changing up my makeup and outfits to become more winter-y. I especially love being able to paint my nails in more festive shades with lots of glitter, so today I thought I’d share with you my favourite nail varnishes for winter!

Essie Nail Polish in ‘Sparkle On Top’

This top coat is well loved throughout winter, it’s the perfect sparkly polish that is a little more subtle than full on glitter, but has an awesome iridescent finish to it that is just absolutely stunning. This nail varnish sort of gives me snowy vibes – you’ll definitely see me rocking it all over Christmas.

O.P.I Nail Lacquer in ‘Ski Slope Sweetie’

This is possibly one of my favourite nail varnishes ever. It’s the most gorgeous pearlescent shade that in the right light looks exactly like sunlight on snow. It’s an absolute staple of mine for winter and I definitely recommend that you all check it out.

Chanel Le Vernis Nail Colour in ‘Rouge Rubis’

This is a true red shade that is perfect for really any time of the year, but especially Christmas. Really, you could buy any classic red shade from any brand, however I do really love the formula of Chanel polishes – they’re so creamy and opaque and literally last ages without chipping. This would definitely make the perfect gift for any beauty lover this Christmas.

O.P.I Nail Lacquer in ‘Peace & Love & OPI’

This is such a cool, duochrome shade that I love to wear during the winter period. The shade actually really reminds me of a peacock feather, and it changes from purple to a silver-teal shade depending on lighting. I love that this is such a unique polish in my collection, and I think it’s absolutely perfect for colder weather.

Nails Inc. Nail Polish in ‘Villers Street’

Nails Inc. are probably my favourite nail varnish brand, and they definitely didn’t disappoint with this polish. This shade to me just screams Christmas, it’s a gorgeous, deep metallic red that I think is just so festive and absolutely perfect for winter.

Essie Nail Polish in ‘Midnight Cami’

I love a deep blue shade during winter, and this varnish from Essie is stunning. It’s a really true blue with a metallic finish, and the intensity of the colour makes me feel winter-y just looking at it.

Eve Snow Nail Polish in ‘Birthday Suit’

Winter doesn’t have to be all about darker shades – I love a good nude in winter and this one from Eve Snow is absolutely gorgeous. This is a taupe-y nude shade that would look stunning on every skin tone, and has cool enough undertones for it to work perfectly during winter.

Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint in ‘Watermelon’

I absolutely love the Gelly nail varnishes from Barry M, they have such a shiny finish and come in so many gorgeous shades. I especially love this deep teal shade, which is really unique and is absolutely perfect for winter.

Essie Nail Polish in ‘Dive Bar’

This is another one of my all time favourite shades; it’s a gorgeous peacock/kingfisher blue with a metallic finish and a hint of teal glitter. It looks so stunning on, and really is one of my favourite shades to wear during winter – I’ve almost used up the bottle!

So those are my favourite nail varnishes for winter. Let me know in the comments whether you’ve tried any of these nail varnishes and what your favourite polishes for winter are. See you next time!
