My Travel Bucketlist

I adore travelling. It’s one of the things that brings me the most joy in life – I love seeing new places and experiencing new cultures. I’ve been fortunate enough to go to some amazing and beautiful places, but there are so many more I long to see! I hope to be able to travel a lot more in the future, here are the places I’d most like to visit.

BORA BORA

Bora Bora is one of those magical places that I feel is on everyone’s bucketlist – especially staying in the famous Four Seasons! This island just looks absolutely stunning, and I love the huts in the water – to be able to wake up in the ocean to that view every morning would be just completely incredible.

HAWAII

I’ve always dreamed of visiting Hawaii, all of the islands look completely mystical and like something made of fiction. I especially would love to visit Oahu and go on the Lost tour – Lost is my favourite TV show ever so this is something I have to do in my lifetime.

WEST COAST

Sometime in the (hopefully near) future I would absolutely love to do a road trip across the West Coast of America. Stopping in places such as San Francisco, Malibu, Los Angeles and so many others, this would be a complete dream come true for me. America is one of my favourite places to visit because it’s so different everywhere you go, and road tripping the West Coast would be so much fun! Plus, I’d finally get to try In-N-Out.

AUSTRALIA

Australia seems like such a cool place to visit – plus the Australian accent is my favourite so I would be in heaven. There are so many different things to do there, from visiting the Sydney Opera House to going down to the Gold Coast, I know I would have an amazing time. The only slight negative is the super long flight from England to Australia, but I’m sure it would be totally worth it.

ITALY

I would love to travel all over Italy, taking in all of the history of this beautiful country whilst also eating my body weight in pasta. There’s so much I want to see in Italy I honestly think I’d have to do it in a few trips, but I know it would be an experience I would never forget.

BAHAMAS

I’ve been fortunate enough to travel to different parts of the Caribbean several times, but I have never been to the Bahamas. I have wanted to go ever since I was 3 years old and I watched the Mary-Kate and Ashley film, ‘Holiday in the Sun’. They looked like they had so much fun in the Bahamas, and their hotel looked amazing. Hopefully I’ll have the chance to go in the future!

GREECE

I’ve visited Greece before on a trip to Rhodes, but I would love to go again and visit either Mykonos or Athens (or both). Mykonos looks picture perfect in every way, with the gorgeous blue ocean and the stark white buildings symbolic of the Mediterranean. I’d love to visit Athens for the history, to be able to see the Acropolis and items from Ancient Greece would be mind-blowing.

BALI

I love the tranquillity and the peacefulness of Bali, it looks like the perfect place to tune into yourself and let go of stress and anxiety. There’s so much to see and do in Bali, and I really do think it would be the experience of a lifetime.

ICELAND

Although I really, really, really hate the cold (I’m not even exaggerating), seeing the Northern Lights would make up for any freezing weather. I can’t even imagine how breathtaking it would look in person, but I really would love to visit to find out. And then maybe take a long trip somewhere warm to thaw me out.

NEW YORK

I can’t believe I’ve never been to New York, but it’s somewhere I’m dying to visit. I would have so much fun shopping (probably too much fun), sightseeing and just being a generally annoying tourist – it would be great! Although I would love to see the Rockefeller tree at Christmas or watch the ball drop on NYE, I think I would have to visit in summer in order to stay warm.

So that’s my (admittedly lengthy) travel bucketlist! I hope you enjoyed this post, let me know in the comments what places are on your bucketlist. See you next time,

A x

Hi there! Love your bucket list! I’m from Sydney in Australia. It’s amazing but I still find it beautiful everytime I visit the harbour bridge and opera house 🙂 Greece is also high on my list! 🙂

Great bucket list, I’ve been lucky enough to travel to a few of those places. I would 100% recommend Hawaii, its one of the most chilled out beautiful places I’ve ever been to. I’m ticking Bali off my list this year, it can’t come round quick enough =)

That’s a great list! I have a few of those places on my bucket list too. If I may recommend, NYC in the spring or fall would be best. The heatwaves in NY are no joke. Sticky and unpleasant. But a trip to Central Park or Coney Island in late Spring or early Fall will help with any out-of-season heatwaves that may come your way.

This year I’m crossing Paris off my bucket list. It’s taken me a long time to get there, but I think it will more than live up to my expectations. After this year’s trip, I hope to start saving for a trip to Hawaii for 2018. And now that the U.S. embargo is over, I’d like to visit Cuba in 2019.
