Travelling is easily my favourite thing to do, and the more places I travel to, the more I want to travel. Although I’ve been incredibly fortunate to travel to some incredible places, there are so many more that I would love to visit. I think travelling and experiencing different cultures is the best way to get the most out of life, and I really hope that my future contains a lot of that.
I’ve actually already written a travel bucketlist in the past, but this is a sort of extension on that with a few more specifics. The list of places I want to see keeps growing, so I’m sure I’ll have to update this again in the future!
I’m in love with the vibrant colours and culture of Cuba, it looks like such a fun place to visit! Obviously visiting Havana would be a must, but I also want to explore the coastal side of Cuba.
Rum also has a long history in Cuba, so – as it is my favourite drink – I think a tasting would be a must.
The Maldives seems like one of the most beautiful islands – and I’m definitely an island-kind-of girl. It would be absolutely incredible to snorkel around here, and the relaxed atmosphere is completely my vibe.
I also desperately want to stay in one of those villas in the ocean, I really hope I can check that off my list at some point!
Australia is one of the places I’d like to visit the most, and – other than the Gold Coast – Byron Bay is top of my list. Not only is it the home of Chris Hemsworth (as if that isn’t reason enough to visit) but it’s also one of the most picturesque little coastal towns I’ve ever seen. The ocean and beaches look incredible, and I can imagine it would be so much fun to surf here (if I knew how to surf, that is).
Although I’ve never even been here, I can imagine this would be my perfect place to live.
The Caribbean is one of my favourite places to travel to – it’s one of the places I visited the most as I was growing up so it has a really special place in my heart. Somehow I’ve still never visited Jamaica, and it’s super high up on my bucketlist.
Nothing beats the beaches and ocean of the Caribbean – there’s just nothing quite like it. The sand is so soft and the water is incredibly calm. I’ve also heard that Jamaica is an incredible place to visit, so hopefully I’ll get over there someday.
I was supposed to go to St Lucia almost ten years ago, but plans ended up changing last minute and I’ve never visited. I’m actually kind of glad I didn’t go back then because I probably wouldn’t have appreciated as much as I would now, and now I’m desperate to go.
I love the lush look of the jungle and the incredible pitons that are so well-known. This would be an awesome island to explore, (they have a bunch of banana and cocoa bean farms to check out too!) and I really hope I get the chance to go sometime soon.
I’ve been to Greece before, but I’ve always wanted to visit Santorini. I don’t think there’s anywhere more idyllic in the entire world – the white and blue buildings set against the blue ocean is just serene.
I can’t imagine anything more perfect than walking along the cobbled streets admiring the beautiful architecture – and probably drinking a lot of wine.
Palm trees and beaches are two of my favourite things, so the densely palm tree-packed beaches of the Dominican Republic are a must see. They also have a monkey sanctuary which I kind of wish I could live in, as well as a few islands off the coast which are perfect for a day trip to a quiet beach.
But mostly I want to lay in a hammock, sip a mojito, and just admire this beautiful island.
Costa Rica is way up there on my bucketlist, I have to see the jungles and incredible wildlife at some point in my life. When you think of jungles you immediately think Costa Rica, and I would so love to be able to explore there.
The macaws, tree frogs and monkeys are all amazing, but what I really want to do is become best friends with all of the sloths. The only problem with travelling to Costa Rica is I’ll probably never want to leave.
The extravagant part of me desperately wants to travel to the French Riviera and live my most luxurious life – probably dressed head-to-toe in Chanel. In my mind I’m envisioning all of the vibes of the TV show ‘Riviera’ – minus the murder. As unlikely as this is, I still really want to visit.
I’ve been to France before, but only to Paris; I’m not really a city person so I think coastal France is much more my style. I would love to rent a boat and just sail around here, it looks so incredible.
Same style as the French Riviera but Italian instead; I’m big on beaches, I know. I’ve always wanted to visit Italy and just eat and drink my body weight in pasta and wine – so why not enjoy all of that with this most perfect view?
I pretty much want to visit everywhere in Italy, but if I could only pick one place it would absolutely be the Amalfi Coast.
So that’s my updated Travel Bucketlist! I hope you guys enjoyed this post, let me know which places you’d most like to travel to (or anywhere I should add to my list!). See you next time,
