You guys already know that I’m obsessed with NARS, so when they brought out a limited edition palette for Spring 2017 of course I had to get my hands on it. The shade selection totally screamed my name, mostly warm-toned shadows (my favourite) with a few cool-tones thrown in for good measure – there’s honestly everything you need in this palette to create a variety of looks.
The packaging is classic NARS, totally chic with a bronze mirror lid that will get so unbelievable dirty as soon as you pick it up, but I mean all my of my palettes are dirty so who cares! The palette also contains the biggest mirror which makes it perfect for travelling, especially as it has all the transition, crease and lid shades you could need – except maybe a matte bone shadow, but you can’t have everything!
The formula of these shadows are incredible. They’re super buttery and pigmented with very little fallout, and they blend so easily with barely any effort. The mattes are especially pigmented, which I’m really impressed with because some mattes can be a little sheer and chalky. I especially love the range of finishes in this palette – shimmers, mattes, satins and metallics, all of which are of equally good quality.
Top Row (L-R):
- NEWBURY STREET – White gold with shimmer finish
- WINDSOR – Matte warm beige
- PRIVILEGE – Metallic true gold
- DOVER – Cool-toned light brown with matte finish
Middle Row (L-R)
- FOIX – Matte peach
- CASTILLE – Warm-toned medium brown with matte finish
- ALNWICK – Copper with shimmer finish
- BEAUMARIS – Chocolate brown with shimmer finish
Bottom Row (L-R)
- SPLENDOR – Metallic taupe
- VERSAILLES – Metallic bronze
- MONTAILLOU – Matte dark brown
- REALE – Black with satin finish
All of these shades are absolutely stunning, and I really love every one of them which is rare with a palette! Of course the middle row is my favourite, the warm shades are just so stunning and that copper is dreamy. I’m super impressed with this palette, and I really think it’s the perfect palette for pretty much everyone! Although the price is a little steep at £55, you do get twelve beautiful shades, each of which is incredible quality, plus it’s a limited edition NARS so I personally feel it’s worth it. It’s currently available exclusively at House of Fraser, but will be available nationwide from May 1st.
I hope you enjoyed this post, let me know in the comments what your thoughts are on this palette, and whether or not you’ll get your hands on it! See you next time,
