My New Year’s Resolutions

My New Year’s Resolutions

2016 has been an interesting year. A lot has happened in the world (both good and bad), and I honestly can’t wait to see what 2017 brings. I have a lot planned for next year, so hopefully it’ll be amazing! Here are my New Year’s Resolutions.

  • Be happier with myself. Something that I really need to learn is to be happier and more accepting of myself. It’s so easy to pick out our flaws, but it’s important to focus on parts of ourselves that we love.
  • Read more. I absolutely love reading, and in the last couple of months I’ve been doing a lot of it. It’s something that I really enjoy, and I need to make sure I make more time for it.
  • Become more organised. Although I’ve stayed pretty consistent with my blog this year, I’m starting university next year so I’ll definitely need to be more organised. During the last few months I’ve gotten better at scheduling posts, so I need to make sure I continue to do this next year.

So those are my New Year’s Resolutions! I hope you enjoyed this post, let me know in the comments what your New Year’s Resolutions are. See you next time!

I understand your want to be happier with yourself. I know personally that I try too hard to compare myself to others and end up putting myself down in process. Can’t wait to see wait to see what future holds for your blog, hope you reach your goals! (btw I love hair!)

I do exactly the same, hopefully we can both learn to stop that this year. Thank you so much!

I’m determined to be better at scheduling posts this year too. In a way my blog is a portfolio of what I can do in my business so it would be good to have regular content on there rather than my poorly attempt at a blog post from my phone!

What kind of thing do you like reading?

I love psychological thrillers and mysteries like The Girl on the Train and The Kind Worth Killing!

I’ve been in a similar headspace to where you are just recently too. Wanting to be happier with myself, and longing to become more organised. The happiness isn’t hard. In fact, it’s a choice. When you wake up every morning you can either decide to love yourself and accept that you are perfectly imperfect, or you can turn away from the potential to see the beauty in every day. Most times the idiosyncrasies that we loathe about ourselves are the very things that others love.
And godlike with the university/ blogging balance. I’m doing the same. I work full time, study, and write…. It can be insanely stressful at times, but nothing worth doing is easy.

*Good luck. Not godlike. Geez. That was a terrible error.

You’re absolutely right, and that’s an incredible piece of advice, thank you. Wow, that must be incredibly stressful, it will definitely all be worth it in the end though.

All of your New Years Resolutions are things that I would like to do this year!

I hope you achieve everything you want and that 2017 treats you well!
