November Favourites 2017

IT’S DECEMBER TOMORROW! I’m beyond excited because I’ve just finished my first term of uni and can now focus all of my energy on one of the things that I love the most, Christmas. I hope you guys are ready for Blogmas, because I’ve got a ton of great stuff coming your way (including a giveaway!) and it all starts tomorrow.

Okay before I get too excited, let’s chat about some November favourites. I’m really proud of myself because once again I’ve been able to try out quite a few products, meaning that I have even more favourites to share with you this month. Here they are!

Charlotte isn’t lying when she calls this an easy contour – this truly is the easiest contour product I’ve ever used. The colour is so natural – it actually looks like a shadow – and this is incredibly buildable so it’s really easy to keep it looking natural or give yourself some insane cheekbones. This blends out in seconds and immediately makes you look so sculpted – I truly have nothing bad to say about this product. Although it is a little pricey at £29, I would absolutely pay this over and over again because of how awesome it is.

This highlight wand is made to be used with the contour, and together these give you the best skin ever. I really love this highlight because, although it’s intense, it looks quite natural and gives more of a sheen to the skin rather than a metallic glow. It’s definitely more of a radiant, dewy highlight, so if you’re like me and that’s totally up your alley then you’ll love this.

Another highlighter I’ve been loving is this one from Becca – it honestly might be my new holy grail. It’s a beautiful champagne shade that is perfect for us paler girls with neutral-yellow undertones (finally!) and looks so radiant and stunning on the skin. I love that this isn’t glittery or chunky at all, it actually looks quite natural. I’ve become so obsessed with Becca since buying the Backlight Primer – I haven’t tried a product yet that I haven’t loved!

I know what you’re thinking, ‘Amy, these have been popular forever, why are you only just putting them on your favourites?’. But this is the first time I’ve tried them, okay?! I’ve only ever used Beauty Blenders in the past, but I couldn’t be bothered to pay £16 for one sponge and have to order online and wait for it to arrive, so I decided to pick up a pair of these sponges from Boots. Now, I wouldn’t say these are quite as good as my true love, the Beauty Blender, but they come pretty damn close. They blend everything out perfectly, but they do take a little longer than the Beauty Blender to get a perfect result. However, they also cost less than one Beauty Blender for two sponges, so they’re definitely a great alternative.

I know shampoo is kind of a weird thing to have on your favourites list, but just hear me out. I don’t know what I’ve used but something has irritated my scalp so badly (I’m placing my bets on too much dry shampoo, so I’m trying to stop using it – wish me luck!) and no product I used would fix it. I finally came upon this and hoped it could save my scalp; oh my god this is a life saver. This is the most soothing shampoo I’ve ever used, it has some ingredient in it that kind of tingles when you apply it (I’m guessing it’s the tea tree) and when I wash it out my scalp just feels so much calmer and happier. This hasn’t completely fixed my scalp yet, but I’ve only used it a couple of times and it’s already made a crazy difference.

This is easily my favourite Morphe palette I’ve ever owned. Yes, I like it even more than all four of the 35O’s. What I love about this palette, other than it’s amazing quality, is that the shades are actually so different to any other palette that I own. This has way more plums, bronzes and neutral browns (I know they look super warm but they’re actually really neutral, trust me) which I totally forgot I loved but I do! I’ll be using this palette for a ton of my Blogmas looks too, so keep your eye out for that. I also really love the name of this, it kind of reminds me of one of my favourite shows, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, you know because of the Nightman? And the Nightman Cometh? No? Nevermind.

Can you tell I’ve become obsessed with the Yes To brand? I’ve always wanted to love micellar water but every single one I’ve tried has either irritated or dried out my skin, but I’ve finally found one that doesn’t! This is made for people with super dry skin, and I’m so grateful that this manages to completely cleanse my skin without stripping it of any oils. It also smells like coconuts, which I’m super into, and has one of those cool pump thingies that you place your cotton pad on and press down and the product comes out – does that make any sense? You guys know what I mean, it’s cool.

So those are my November favourites! I hope you guys enjoyed this post, let me know in the comments what you’ve been loving this month. See you next time,

A x

Always love a good favourites post. The CT contour wand sounds amazing! I love anything that makes contouring easy because I can be a bit hopeless at it. I love the RT sponge, I’ve always wanted a Beauty Blender but I can’t bring myself to pay the price when I can get this one for so much cheaper. Does such a good job! x

What a great favourites post! I’m dying to try those contour and highlight wands from Charlotte Tilbury they sound amazing, as does that shampoo! I think I’m having a pretty similar scalp problem to you so I might just have to get myself some, it’s been driving me up the wall!
