October Favourites 2017

I’m honestly so happy that October is finally over because now it’s November and that means one thing. Christmas is finally here. Sort of.

I’ve tried out so many new products recently and it’s meant that I have a ridiculous amount of favourites this month. Like possibly my most ever. I can’t wait to share them all with you because I actually feel like I’ve discovered quite a few new HG’s, so without further ado let’s get right into it!

I’d been wanting to get my hands on this powder for so long and I’m so glad I finally have it. This is easily the best powder I’ve ever used – it sets my makeup perfectly (haha see what I did there? Because of the name? No? Okay…) without making my skin look too powdery or cakey. It actually has a really natural, luminous finish that is perfect for my dry skin, and it’s so finely milled that it works amazingly for baking. I seriously can’t recommend this powder enough, if you’re on the hunt for a new loose powder definitely give this one a try.

Since buying this earlier on this month this has quickly become one of my favourite skincare products for A/W. It’s an amazing facial oil that leaves my skin feeling super hydrated and soft. My skin pretty much absorbs this instantly because it gets so dry around this time of year, so I really couldn’t live without it. Plus for only £5.50 you can’t go wrong.

If you’ve seen my recent review on the Vanilla Pumpkin range then you’ll know how obsessed I am with these products. Although I love all of them, I think my favourite has to be the body butter. It’s so hydrating and it smells incredible. I honestly don’t know what I’ll do when I run out of this because the range is limited edition – I think I’ll have to stock up before they get rid of them!

I did a huge review of the brand Glossier after their launch in the U.K. last month, and honestly I was a little underwhelmed by most of the products I bought. However, the Haloscope is truly an awesome product and the one that I would probably recommend the most. This is a gorgeous highlighter that gives a totally natural sheen to your skin, but still looks pretty intense. I personally prefer more natural looking highlights, so the fact that this contains no shimmer/glitter makes me very happy. I have the shade ‘Quartz’ which is a really universal shade that would be flattering on all skin tones – I definitely think this is one of the best products that Glossier have.

Surprisingly I have another Glossier product in my favourites this month, and this is probably the only other Glossier product that I would recommend (of the ones I’ve tried, of course). This is a gel-formula cheek stain that could also be used for your lips, and it’s the easiest way to add a natural flush to the cheeks. I love using this product on minimal makeup days to just give a pop of colour, and this shade ‘Dusk’ is a gorgeous nude that would look amazing on everyone.

This is a sample I received in my recent Space NK order, and I’m actually sort of annoyed at how much I love this because everything from Space NK is pretty expensive! The sample size of this is very generous, I’ve been using this everyday for the past month and I’m only just halfway through it. It’s a beautiful facial oil that helps to nourish the skin, smooth texture and provide protection against antioxidants. I’m totally in love with this oil, and although it’s expensive I’ll definitely pick up the full size when I’ve run out as I know it’ll last me a long time.

I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect setting spray for a while now, and I think I’ve finally found my ultimate holy grail. This has a beautifully fine but powerful mist that covers my entire face in just a couple of sprays without causing droplets to appear and ruin my makeup. This also sets my makeup perfectly and makes it just melt into my skin and look super glowy, plus it keeps my makeup looking flawless all day long. This is definitely the best setting spray I’ve ever used, and I would 100% recommend it to anybody looking for the perfect finishing spray.

I actually wasn’t 100% sure how I felt about this brow gel the first couple of times that I used it, but now after trying it out more I absolutely love it. This sets my brows perfectly and keeps them looking bushy without making them feel too crispy. The brush is actually quite large, but I really like that as it allows me to make my brows look super fluffy. I’ll definitely be repurchasing this once I run out, I really love it!

I honestly haven’t had this lipstick for very long but I already know that it’s a favourite. This colour is a beautiful, deep red that is so perfect for A/W, and Charlotte Tilbury’s matte lipsticks have an amazing formula that looks matte but is still super hydrating. This shade is actually a part of the limited edition city collection (they also have a London and New York-themed lipstick) so if you like the look of it be sure to pick it up now before it’s gone!

Another new HG for me; this primer is both hydrating and illuminating – it makes my skin look so glowy and healthy and makes my makeup look better than ever. I love that this isn’t a glittery primer as lots of illuminating primers seem to be, instead it just gives you a natural glow that makes your makeup look incredibly flawless. I can’t believe I waited so long to try out this primer, I’m just happy that I finally have it in my life.

Damn that was a long post, but those are my October Favourites! I really hope you guys enjoyed this post, let me know in the comments what you were loving last month. See you next time,

A x

I’m loving the photography in this post. I’ve not tried any of the products you’ve mentioned in your October Faves but I feel like we have really similar tastes so I’m going to check a few of these out!
