The festive season is officially here, which means so are the parties. Even though I don’t really have a Christmas party to go to, I love looking for cute and festive party dresses which I normally just end up wearing around the house on Christmas day!
Finding the perfect party dress can be a little difficult: do you want sequins or velvet? Tulle or satin? Well not to worry, I’ve picked out some of my favourites to help you guys out!
FREE PEOPLE DANCE TIL DAWN MIDI DRESS
Nothing says party more than an iridescent sequin mini dress – this would be so perfect for New Year’s Eve! I love wearing sequins during the festive season, so I can’t help but love this dress.
The neckline is absolutely gorgeous, and I really like the mesh insert to cover you a little but still keep things fun and flirty.
ASOS EDITION ALL OVER BEADED FLAPPER MIDI DRESS
I absolutely adore the flapper style of this dress, I love the 1920s so this is right up my street. I think flapper dresses are really the perfect party dress, the way the frills move are so fun and they’re always pretty and sparkly.
The touch of silver on this dress makes it really festive, and pairing it with silver heels would be so pretty!
ASOS FLORAL CLUSTER EMBELLISHED BALLOON SLEEVE MINI DRESS
This isn’t the most festive of dresses, but I just love how floaty and ethereal it is. The embellishments are such a pretty touch, and tulle always feels quite festive to me.
I think this would be really cute paired with some black tights and boots, and I really want to wear this dress on Christmas day!
ABERCROMBIE AND FITCH MESH DRESS WITH STRAP DETAIL
You can never go wrong with an LBD – it’s a closet staple – and I love the addition of the lace on this. Lace makes everything a little more elegant and dressy, so totally perfect for a Christmas party.
This dress is quite simple which means you can really go big on the accessories – I think it would look so pretty with metallic gold heels and a lot of sparkling jewellery.
FREE PEOPLE COME TOGETHER VELOUR MINI DRESS
A red velvet mini dress is almost too perfect for Christmas – you can’t get any more festive! I really like that this is a deeper burgundy rather than a bright red because I don’t love wearing bright colour. I also strongly believe you can never own too much velvet.
The cut of this is really pretty, the twisted bust makes it a little more fun and great for a party.
ASOS DRAPE FRONT DELICATE BACK MAXI DRESS
If you want to go for a super elegant dress this year then this is a great option. The emerald colour is so classy but still festive, and the satin makes it look really expensive (even though it’s not).
The open back and thigh-high split gives the dress a little more excitement, and the maxi length means you can dance to your heart’s content without fear of flashing all of your colleagues.
NEW LOOK LACE SKATER DRESS
Bright red and lace equals a festive dream, and this is a dress that would suit everybody. I love how thin and delicate the straps are, and this dress makes such a statement that you can go pretty simple with the accessories.
Pair this with some gold jewellery and a red lip for the perfect festive outfit.
FREE PEOPLE GABBY’S PARTY ALL NIGHT DRESS
This is another classic LBD, but the satin makes it so perfect for a Christmas party. I love the open detail in the front of the dress, and the straps are such a flattering style.
I love how simple this dress is because it means you can wear it over and over again for so many occasions, and the style is so timeless that it’ll never go out of fashion.
FREE PEOPLE SIREN VELVET-TRIMMED SEQUIN MINI DRESS
Velvet and sequins? I mean, this dress just screams NYE. The frills, sequins and velvet might be overkill for the majority of the year, but Christmas has its own rules.
Pair this with a pair of delicate strappy heels and you’ll look like you put in a lot more effort than you actually did (aka my dream outfit).
ABERCROMBIE & FITCH LACE HALTERNECK MINI DRESS
I love halter neck dresses because they’re so flattering and perfect for any occasion. The colour of this dress is so gorgeous and festive, and the lace gives a little more detail.
Since this is quite a simple dress you could get away with some serious statement earrings and fun shoes, and you could easily wear this again more casually by pairing it with boots and a leather jacket!
I hope you guys enjoyed this post, let me know in the comments which dress was your favourite! See you next time,
