If you’ve read my blog before then you’ll know I’m a huge fan of the brand PMD – their products are super innovative (Personal Microdermabrasion Device anyone?) and really amp up your skincare routine.
I’ve tried their Microdermabrasion device and the PMD Kiss (an anti-aging lip plumper) before, but they recently launched a new device – the PMD Clean – which they kindly sent me to try out.
The PMD Clean is a facial cleansing device made of silicone – which is a lot more sanitary and less harsh than a synthetic brush. I love using silicone cleansing brushes like this to ensure my skin is getting a really deep clean without irritating it, and the sonic pulses help to stimulate blood flow for glowing and youthful-looking skin.
I’ve used facial cleansing devices like this in the past and I already knew I was a huge fan of them, so I couldn’t wait to try this one out! My favourite part about silicone brushes is that they never need replacement brush heads as they’re completely antibacterial – which really saves you a lot of money in the long run.
This device has four modes: two cleansing and two massaging. There’s a gentle and an intense version of each so you can completely tailor the device to your skin’s needs, making it great for all skin types. As I have sensitive skin, it’s nice to be able to choose how intense the vibrations are so they don’t irritate my skin.
The device uses 7,000 vibrations per minute, easily breaking down oils and dirt to give pores a really deep clean. I love using the gentle cleansing mode with my cleanser all over my face for around 30 seconds per area, and then using the intense mode across my T-Zone. It’s such a quick and easy way to thoroughly clean your skin without having to use a ton of products.
The massaging mode is an amazing touch too; it works to allow serums to penetrate deeper into the skin and become more effective, as well as stimulating blood flow and boosting collagen to give your skin the healthiest glow. The sonic pulses are also anti-ageing (which I love as a preventative step), so you basically get a full facial with just one device!
The PMD Clean is completely waterproof, meaning it can be used in the shower and still be totally fine. It runs on batteries which are supposed to last up to 2 months if the device is used daily – I personally would prefer for it to be rechargeable as I’d find that easier but it’s not that big of a deal. It’s also self-standing, so it’s really easy to store and air dry.
I’ve been using this device for around a month now and I honestly can’t fault it (other than the charging thing but that’s just personal preference!). The bristles are slightly exfoliating which leaves my skin soft and radiant, and it gives me such a deep cleanse – it even completely removes my makeup! I especially love the massage modes, I think it’s awesome that it helps to make serums more effective and I like that it’s boosting collagen. It’s really made my skin a lot clearer and brighter, and I honestly noticed the results within a couple of days – it’s that good.
If you’re looking for something to amp up your skincare routine then I’d definitely recommend this, it does such an amazing job and it’s great for all skin types! Plus, it’s only £89 – which may seem expensive but you basically never need to replace this so it’s a great investment. You can find it here.
I hope you guys enjoyed this post, let me know in the comments whether you’ve tried the PMD Clean and what your thoughts are! See you next time,
