Colourpop has quickly become one of my favourite brands – they have such awesome products that are amazing value for money! However, since I have to pay custom fees I try to not order things too often, but when I do I always go big.
Luckily, Colourpop were doing free international delivery for orders over $50, so I made sure my cart cost at least that much (trust me, it wasn’t hard). I also managed to get a free lil lippie as I spent over $20, plus a free empty eyeshadow palette as I bought over four pressed shadows! Although I do only like to do Colourpop orders occasionally as custom fees can make it pretty expensive (mine was £21), I definitely think the products are worth it. Here’s my haul!
Although I’ve tried Colourpop Lippie Stix in the past I’ve never tried any of their liquid lips before, so I definitely wanted to pick some up this time! If you’ve read my blog before you’ll probably know how much I love Kathleen Lights, so of course I had to pick up the shade that she collaborated on, ‘Aquarius’. I chose to get this as an Ultra Satin Lip as matte liquid lipsticks are usually way too drying for my lips, and I’m so happy that I did! This actually dries down pretty matte, but feels a lot creamier than a normal liquid lipstick. It’s also super pigmented and is fairly long-lasting, it could easily last 4-5 hours as long as you don’t eat anything greasy. I really love the shade too, it’s a super light, pink-nude that would look great on fair skin tones but is probably too light for any others.
I also picked up one of the new Ultra Blotted Lips in the shade ‘Doozy’, I’d been wanting to try out this formula since it was first released so I’m super happy I managed to get it! It’s a really thin formula – almost like a stain – but it applies completely evenly without any patchiness and seriously lasts for hours. It also dries down completely matte but without being drying, it actually feels like I’m wearing nothing! This gives the lips a really natural, ‘just-bitten’ look that is totally wearable for both daytime and evening, plus it’s really easy to reapply because of how lightweight it is. ‘Doozy’ is a beautiful rosebud pink shade that is perfect for summer, this is honestly the only lipstick I want to wear at the moment!
The final lipstick I got was the free Lil Lippie in the shade ‘Goal Digger’, a beautiful deep, posie pink with a matte finish. I really love the Lippie Stix formula, it’s so creamy and pigmented, and luckily this is just as amazing as the full size. The miniature size is also perfect as I rarely use a lipstick often enough to actually finish it, so this gives me the perfect amount!
Super Shock Shadows are something that Colourpop are most famous for, and for good reason! I already had five in my collection that I was absolutely in love with, so it only made sense that I bought eight more. This formula is unlike anything else I’ve ever tried, it’s almost like a cream to powder shadow but more powdery… if that makes sense. They’re also insanely pigmented and blend out perfectly – you can actually use only one shade over the entire lid and blended up into the crease and still have a stunning look.
One of the things I love most about Colourpop is the fact that they do sets that are amazing value for money. I chose to get the After Hours Set which has six, warm-toned shadows and only costs $25 with a $30 value, giving you a free shadow! I also picked up two single Super Shock Shadows in the shades ‘Brady’ and ‘One by One’.
SHADES (AS SWATCHED BELOW, L-R)
- SUPER HARD CORE – Satin Ivory Gold (from After Hours Set)
- ONE BY ONE – Satin Icy Peach
- SAILOR – Ultra-Glitter Champagne with Turquoise Glitter (from After Hours Set)
- AMAZE – Ultra-Glitter Warm Gold with Multi-Dimensional Glitter (from After Hours Set)
- BRADY – Matte Dusty Rose
- WATTLES – Satin Pale Dusty Rose (from After Hours Set)
- DGAF – Ultra-Glitter Rusty Brown with Multi-Dimensional Glitter (from After Hours Set)
- DRIFT – Satin Cranberry (from After Hours Set)
My favourite is definitely ‘Sailor’; although you can’t quite tell in the swatch it’s full of turquoise glitter which looks so beautiful and brightening on the eye – it’s a really great topper for neutral shadows! I also really love ‘Wattles’, I actually already own this shade but it’s probably my favourite ever so I knew I needed a backup. ‘DGAF’ also looks really beautiful on it’s own over the entire lid and into the crease for a glittery, bronzey evening look!
The final products I bought were seven of the pressed shadows/pigments, the quality of these are incredible and they’re only $4-$5 each! The free empty palette is awesome too, it works just like a Z-Palette and I love being able to customise it. I actually picked up a few unique shades that I thought would be really fun to play around with (I’m thinking a sunset eye?), but of course I also grabbed some neutrals and golds too!
