I’m a really light sleeper, so generally any little noise will wake me right up and I’ll then struggle to fall back asleep. It also takes me ages to fall asleep, so generally I spend my days tired and wanting to crawl back into bed.
I always get excited to try new products that claim to help you fall asleep, so when Harriet at Spacemasks offered to send me one of their masks I felt eternally grateful. I’d heard so much about these masks and I knew everyone was raving about them, so I was super interested to try one out.
If you haven’t heard of Spacemasks, they’re basically a self-heating mask that allows you to experience a deep and intense relaxation – influenced by the peacefulness of space. I can say without a doubt that this mask made me feel extremely relaxed, so their claims are definitely accurate.
I decided to try this mask out before I fell asleep (as this is when I struggle the most) and within fifteen minutes I was in a deep, relaxing sleep. They say that the heat lasts about fifteen minutes, but I found that after wearing it for half an hour it was only just beginning to cool down. If you’re worried about the self-heating aspect of this mask don’t be, it only heats to a gentle warmth so there’s no chance that you’ll feel irritated or uncomfortable – the slight heat honestly made me feel so relaxed and cosy.
Although I did wake up to take the mask off, I didn’t find I struggled to fall asleep afterwards and felt I had a really good, deep sleep for the rest of the night. Overall I’m super impressed, and I’d definitely recommend trying out this mask if you’re like me and struggle to fall and stay asleep.
