Recently I’ve been feeling that my skin is looking a little bit meh, and so in an effort to try to combat this I did a little bit of research and stumbled upon the skincare brand Mario Badescu. This brand is praised by many celebrities, including Jennifer Aniston, Gwyneth Paltrow and Charlize Theron, so with that knowledge I was excited to try out some of their products!
Drying Lotion – £12.50
This is a holy grail product for many people, including Kylie Jenner, so I was seriously hoping that this product would work for me too. The purpose of this is to basically dry out any blemishes, and let me tell you this definitely lives up to the hype. I just use a cotton swab to dab this on any blemishes, using only the pink sediment at the bottom of the bottle without shaking the product, and leave it on overnight. I really do love this product, and it’s probably one of my favourites out of all the things I bought from the range.
Silver Powder – £10.25
This is by far my absolute favourite purchase from this brand. This is a special powder that draws out impurities and blackheads from your skin, and honestly it’s like a miracle powder. I use this about once or twice a week and often follow it with a pore strip, and it pretty much removes everything and makes my skin so much clearer. I absolutely love this, plus you don’t need to use a lot, I just take some on a damp piece of cotton wool and apply it to the areas that I think need it most, so it’s definitely worth the money!
Rolling Cream Peel with AHA – £15.50
Out of all the products I bought this is probably my least favourite, purely because I don’t think it really does anything. This is a chemical peel that you ‘roll’ off by massaging the product into your skin, however I found it really difficult to roll the product off, even after leaving it on my skin for a couple minutes longer as some people suggested. I also felt like afterwards my skin didn’t really feel any softer or look brighter, so this peel gets a big no from me.
Seaweed Cleansing Soap and Cleansing Lotion – £5
I actually got this set as a free gift from Beauty Bay for spending over £60, and I’m really glad I did! The natural ingredients in these are really soothing for my sensitive skin, and they clean my skin without drying it out, which I love. Although these are only miniatures, you can buy the full size for £12.95, and I’ll definitely be repurchasing once I run out because it’s rare I find something that doesn’t irritate my skin.
So those are the products I bought from Mario Badescu! I definitely would be interested in purchasing more from the brand, because the majority of products I bought I really loved, plus I think the pricing is really reasonable.
Let me know in the comments what your favourite products from Mario Badescu are, and what brands you’d like to see me try out next!
