WITH JACK WILLS
Summer seems to have hit Britain with full force over the last couple of days, and although I wish this heatwave would never end, we all know that British summers aren’t exactly tropical. With the chances of rain being almost inevitable a lightweight jacket is a must, and Jack Wills have fortunately come to the rescue with their range of classic trench coats.
The trench coat should be a staple in any closet, but being 5’3″ I often struggle to find one that would compliment my petite frame (so, you know, something that wouldn’t drown me in material). Luckily Jack Wills offer three different styles of trench coat, the classic Duncombe, the cropped Havershaw and the swing-style Dollyhill, meaning that there’s something for everyone – even us girls on the shorter side! The trench coats also come in a variety of colours, so if classic stone isn’t your thing you could make it a little more summery with pastel pink or blue.
The best thing about these trench coats is that they’re lightweight and waterproof, making them perfect for that unpredictable British weather. These jackets are incredibly versatile too; pair them with a simple tee and some skinny jeans for a chilled-out, daytime look, or dress it up in the evening with a chic cocktail dress – the options are endless! If you’re still a little unsure on how to style a trench coat, Jack Wills have created a super helpful guide that will have you looking effortlessly fashionable in no time.
With so many styles and colours to choose from you’re sure to find your perfect trench, and with Jack Wills’ guide there’s no reason not to wear it with every outfit (unless it’s hot, then you can be excused)!
I hope you enjoyed this post, let me know in the comments what your thoughts are on the classic trench coat, and which style you love best! See you next time,
