I bought my first pair of Levi’s jeans a couple months back and I haven’t stopped wearing them since. As someone who swore only to wear skinny jeans, it’s a huge shock to me that I could fall in love with a pair like this.
These are the Levi’s 501 High Rise Skinny Jeans, but they’re totally not skinny. I would say they’re more of a slim fit mom jean – and a great way of entering into the mom jean style in a slightly more subtle way.
I find these jeans perfect for the warmer months, the lighter wash and distressed detailing just gives them a majorly summery vibe. I also love the versatility of these jeans, you can keep them super casual or dress them up with a pair of heels. I’ve been styling these jeans a couple of different ways, so I thought I’d show you a few looks!
I’m actually one of those people who kinda loves chilling around the house in a pair of jeans – especially when they’re as comfortable as this. I throw these on with an oversized, lightweight shirt (this is a super old one from H&M) for the chillest outfit ever – it’s really casual but also pulled together enough to head into the outside world if I have to without looking like a total mess.
Shirts and denim pair so well together too – you could actually swap out the blue shirt for a white one and throw on a bright pair of heels for a really chic look that’s completely effortless.
A really simple and summery look is to just pair these jeans with a white vest top (a total staple, by the way) – if you want to look super fashion-y then make sure to do the half tuck. Throw a belt on to cinch in the waist, I’m currently loving this western-inspired one from ASOS. I love pairing this with a cute pair of flats – usually I wear the ones in the first image, which are a gorgeous pair from Free People that they annoyingly don’t sell anymore – which makes the outfit a little more feminine.
If you wanted to dress it up a little then you could add a pair of heels and maybe a blazer – I just don’t have enough places to go for an outfit like that!
My final (and favourite) look of the bunch is this very 90’s, bohemian outfit. Since the jeans are high waisted, I love pairing them with a crop top to add some contrast – and the button front and tie sleeves on this Free People one makes it perfect for summer.
To make this extra summery, I added a pair of Birkenstocks (which are the best pair of sandals I’ve ever owned) and some mirrored sunglasses to make myself seem cooler. If I’m on holiday then I may have to swap out the jeans for a pair of shorts (obviously still Levi’s though, because duh), but for English summers it’s practically perfect.
I hope you guys enjoyed this post, let me know in the comments which outfit was your favourite! See you next time,
