T-Zone Charcoal & Bamboo Range REVIEW

As a kid I used to get the worst dry skin and redness around my nose and chin, so I had to use really thick and heavy creams to try and soothe and calm it. Flash forward to now, the heavy duty creams have wreaked havoc on my pores and no amount of pore strips have really done the trick at getting rid of my blackheads completely. Charcoal is well-known to be a great ingredient for eliminating blackheads, so I was incredibly excited when T-Zone offered to send me some products from their new Charcoal & Bamboo line.

The thing I was most excited to receive was this box of pore strips. I’ve tried Bioré strips in the past but can only get them to work in conjunction with the Mario Badescu Silver Powder, which sort of isn’t the point. Not only do the T-Zone ones have double the amount of strips in a pack for almost half the price of Bioré Charcoal Pore Strips (T-Zone’s are only £5.99!), they also work so much better! I actually notice these getting stuff out of my pores without leaving my nose feeling sore and like the skin has been ripped off of it. The only issue I have about these is that they’re a little more difficult to stick down than other pore strips – especially around the crease of my nose – but I just apply more pressure to those areas for about a minute and it sticks just fine.

The next thing I received was this face scrub, which at first I was a little sceptical about. As someone with dry/sensitive skin, charcoal face scrubs tend to irritate my skin and strip it of necessary oils – however I was wrong to be worried! This didn’t irritate my skin or leave it feeling dry at all, and the scrub is delicate enough that is does the job without being harsh. I actually noticed immediately after using this that my pores looked clearer, and it’s definitely made an improvement to my skin over the past couple of weeks that I’ve been testing it out. I’m really impressed with how well this works for the price, at only £2.99 it’s definitely great value for money!

The final product I received were these cleansing wipes, which I’m sort of obsessed with because the actual wipes are black which totally fits my aesthetic. Whilst I don’t typically use cleansing wipes unless I’m on a plane or I want to take off the majority of my makeup before doing a proper cleanse, I actually could see myself using these quite a lot. They feel a lot more exfoliating than normal wipes, and they contain ingredients like Activated Charcoal, Bamboo Extract and Grapefruit Extract so they’re actually going to give your skin a proper clean. I love that you get a lot of wipes in a pack, and at only £2.99 a pack you can’t really go wrong.

Overall I’m really impressed with this range – I especially love that the products work for dry/sensitive skin as well as oily skin! Other products in the range include a Self-Heating Mask, Ultra Purifying Face Wash and No-Shine Papers, plus a Black Peel Off Mask that I’m dying to try!

I hope you enjoyed this post, let me know in the comments what products you’d like to try from this range! See you next time,

A x
