Testing New (To Me) Charlotte Tilbury Products

As I’m sure most of you already know, I’m a huge fan of Charlotte Tilbury. Her makeup is easily some of my favourites and I feel like her products really work for my skin and the look that I’m going for.

The brand is constantly coming out with new products – so many, in fact, that I can barely keep up – and I’ve finally got my hands on some new-ish (and some pretty old) products that I’ve been dying to try.

All of these products are very glowy (because obviously) and highly-rated, so I thought I’d finally test them out for myself and let you guys know what I think!

I desperately wanted the original Bar of Gold highlighter but never managed to get my hands on it, so when I saw that she had created a trio it became an instant need.

Now, I’m not particularly a ‘blinding highlight’ kind of person, I prefer to just look naturally radiant, so I was a little worried when I saw how intense these could be. I also felt that they looked a little glittery, which is something that I hate in a highlighter.

Needless to say, I shouldn’t have been worried. These actually look wet on the skin, somehow giving the appearance of a liquid rather than a powder. They can also be built up to be more intense or kept pretty subtle – much to my relief.

Obviously I love the original Bar of Gold shade, but I also surprisingly loved the rose gold shade a lot more than I thought I would. Although the gold is too dark for me to use as a highlighter, it makes a gorgeous eyeshadow.

I’m super impressed with this palette and I honestly haven’t picked up another highlighter since buying it – I’d definitely recommend.

Ever since this launched I’d been wanting to get my hands on it, and the rave reviews only made me need it more.

finally picked one up a couple of days ago (after every store I went to had been out of stock in my shade), and I can totally see why everyone is so obsessed.

Hollywood Flawless Filter in Shade ‘3’

As soon as I used it my skin looked even more radiant than it ever has before (which I didn’t even think was possible), and my mum even told me my pores looked blurred – arguably one of the best compliments – and immediately went to buy one herself.

I use this primarily under my foundation as a glow booster, but I also love it for ‘no makeup’ makeup days as a really luminous base all on its own. I know some people like using this as a liquid highlighter too, so I’ll have to try that!

I absolutely love cream eyeshadows, so I have no idea why it took me so long to try these. I actually bought ‘Jean’ first, around a week ago now, and as soon as I received it I ordered ‘Bette’ because I loved it so much.

I like my eyes to look really radiant and highlighted, and these totally give me that effect. They keep their sheen all day long but don’t crease or transfer – you really couldn’t ask for more.

The shade ‘Jean’ is a soft, champagne gold, whereas ‘Bette’ is a deeper bronze. Both look absolutely stunning patted all over the lid, and are completely mesmerising (ha) when they hit the light.

I actually think these are pretty enough to wear completely on their own, maybe with a little bronzer blended into the crease if you want something extra, making these perfect for a 5 minute makeup look.

So those were all the new(ish) things that I tried from Charlotte Tilbury – and who’s surprised that I loved them all?

I hope you guys enjoyed this post, let me know in the comments what you’d recommend I try from the brand next! See you next time,

A x

Always had my eye on Charlotte tilbury makeup but it’s so expensive but seeing your review makes me want to buy these goodies.
