I love maxi skirts anytime of the year, but now that summer is just around the corner it’s really their time to shine. I would quite happily fill my entire wardrobe with maxi skirts (believe me, I’m trying) – they’re so comfortable but they still make you look super put-together.
Maxi skirts are pretty versatile too, depending on what you pair them with you can create a variety of different looks to take you from day to night. My favourite way to wear them is with a t shirt and boots (or a jumper if it’s A/W), but I thought I’d show you three different outfits to give you a few ideas!
I love pairing a maxi skirt with a tee, because it makes the outfit a lot more casual and perfect for everyday wear. This skirt is probably my favourite I’ve ever owned – it’s from Spell and the Gypsy Collective and I’m so in love with it that I kinda want to wear it on my wedding day.
This t shirt is also from Spell and looks so cute knotted at the front to create a really chilled vibe. I love how beachy this outfit is, and it’s perfect for keeping cool during summer whilst still looking cute.
If I want to be a little more dressed up, I love pairing a maxi skirt with a ‘nice top’ (like ‘nice top and jeans’ but ‘nice top and skirt’, you know?). This top is still really simple so it doesn’t distract too much from the skirt, but it also makes the outfit perfect for an evening out.
I love the print on this Zara skirt, it’s really bohemian and makes me want to travel to Santorini right now. You could also dress this outfit down with a simple cami and some sandals for a pretty daytime look.
Crop tops work so perfectly with maxi skirts because they help to balance out the length of the skirt. This Free People co-ord works for day and night, and I love pairing it with my Dr Martens to add a little edge.
A co-ord like this is amazing for travelling too because you have such an easy outfit to put together, but you could also wear the pieces separately to create a few different looks!
I hope you guys enjoyed this post, let me know in the comments which outfit was your favourite! See you next time,
