Although I love to experiment with different products and makeup looks, in my day-to-day life I typically stick to the same, trusty items. My current everyday makeup bag is full of easy-to-use products that create a pretty natural look which is definitely my go-to during summer – here’s what’s inside!
The makeup bag I’m currently using is this striped one from Victoria’s Secret, it’s pretty old now but it still does the job. I actually could do with one that’s a little bigger because it can be quite a struggle to fit all of my products inside, so if you know of a good one then let me know!
I keep my three holy grail base products in my everyday makeup bag because they really are all I use throughout summer. This primer and foundation combo gives me the most glowy and natural skin, and the concealer is so easy to pat on and blend out. With these three products I can literally just use my fingers and be done with my base makeup in less than a minute!
My ultimate holy grail powder is the Laura Mercier Translucent Powder, so of course it has to be included in my everyday makeup bag. This powder sets my makeup without looking cakey or too powdery, and still leaves my skin with a radiant glow. I’ve actually had this powder for a year and I’m barely even halfway through, so it’s definitely worth the money!
This is my hands-down favourite bronzer of all time, I seriously never use anything else. This is amazing for bronzing up fair skin-tones, and the scent is so incredible it literally transports you to paradise. I actually think this might be my favourite product ever and I absolutely can’t live without it.
I’ve been reaching for this blush a lot over the past couple of months, so it only made sense that it became a staple in my makeup bag. This is a really gorgeous nude-peach shade that is perfect for summer, and it gives a beautiful glow to the cheeks. Although I don’t think I’ll reach for this blush as much during the colder months, I’m really enjoying using it right now!
If you prefer a more natural highlight then this is definitely the product for you. Whilst I love the look of an intense glow, I prefer something a bit more subtle in my everyday life so this is easily my favourite highlighter. It has almost a satin finish that creates a ‘lit from within’ sort of glow, and I just can’t get enough of it!
‘Wattles’ is by far my favourite Colourpop Super Shock Shadow; I can literally throw it onto my entire lid and it looks like I’ve spent time and effort on my eye makeup (when really it’s taken me like thirty seconds). The thing I love the most about this is that it has a satin finish, so it actually brings life to my eyes and makes them pop rather than appearing dull and flat. This dusty rose shade also works with everything, it’s honestly my favourite shadow in my collection.
Keeping things simple, I always finish off the look with a couple of coats of my favourite ever mascara. It holds the perfect curl (which is almost unheard of for my lashes) and gives a lot of length and volume – it’s actually the only mascara I use anymore, so it had to be included in my makeup bag.
I often get asked what products I use on my brows, and this is my trusty pairing that gives me the boldest, fluffiest brows of my life. The ABH Dipbrow is honestly one of the most amazing products, it fills out my brows in the most natural way and the shade range is awesome. This Benefit brow gel is also the best I’ve ever found, it keeps my brows bushy and in place all day long – I couldn’t live without either of them!
My absolute favourite lipstick to throw on is this one by NARS. The colour is a perfect ‘your lips but better’ shade with a gorgeous sheer finish, so it looks and feels like you’re just wearing a lip balm. This is the only thing I want to wear during summer; because of how sheer it is it’s super easy to reapply throughout the day, and it’s simple enough to wear with any eye look!
So those are the products in my everyday makeup bag! I hope you enjoyed this post, let me know in the comments what products are staples in your makeup bag. See you next time,
