So another month draws to a close, and here I am once again to tell you guys what I’ve been loving throughout the month of August. I haven’t actually tried out too many new products this month, but I still have a few favourite items I’ve been using/wearing a lot over August. Here they are!
Zara Leather and Shine Choker Pack – £15.99
Since this 90’s trend seems to be going nowhere any time soon I thought I’d hop on board! I’ve really been loving this long leather choker from this Zara set, which is simple enough to be an understated addition to my outfit whilst also adding a bit of an edge. I love how long this is, so I can loop it as many times as I want to get different looks. Plus the price is so reasonable because you’re getting two chokers, so I’d definitely recommend this!
Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder – £29
I’d been wanting to try this powder for so long after seeing all the amazing reviews, and it definitely didn’t disappoint. This powder is perfect for baking and doesn’t show up in flash photography (you guys know what I’m talking about!), plus the banana-like colour is perfect for correcting and brightening dull skin. Although this is a little expensive, you do get a full ounce and you really don’t need to use a lot of this product, so I can see it lasting me quite a while.
Mario Badescu Silver Powder – £10.25
I raved about this powder in my Mario Badescu Spotlight Brand Review, and I still love it just as much as I did then. I use this about once a week and it keeps my skin looking clear and my pores less visible. Even though I’ve been using this throughout the month, I’ve barely made a dent in it, so it’s definitely worth the money!
Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette – £39
If you follow me on Twitter (@auburnagenda) you’ll know that I bought this as a treat for myself on A-Level results day – I got all B’s for those of you wondering! I love the neutral and bronze-y shades in this palette as these are colours I wear pretty much on the daily, and the shadows themselves are so pigmented and creamy. I’ve pretty much been using this palette alone to create all my eye looks recently, since there’s a good range of matte and shimmer shades, so it’s definitely been a favourite of mine this month!
Ooh! Organic Argan Moisture Retention Face Oil – £19
This final product is actually one I received in this month’s Look Incredible Beauty Box, and was one of the items I was the most excited about. I’ve been adding a drop of this into my foundation whenever I want to look a little more glowing and hydrated (which, let’s be honest, is always!), and I really love the luminous finish it leaves on my skin. I also use this on areas that are a looking a little dry or when my face feels a bit sensitive after using a harsher product, and I really love how soft it makes my skin feel!
