Glitter eyeshadows still seem to be taking the makeup world by storm, and Beauty Blvd’s latest launch proves that they aren’t going anywhere fast.
I actually haven’t had the opportunity to try out that many glitter eyeshadows in the past, so when I received this package in the mail from the lovely people at Beauty Blvd, I couldn’t wait to give them a go!
I received three shades: ‘Adelize’, a gorgeous, deep plum, ‘Seraphina’, a true copper, and ‘Ysmeina’, a light gold.
The packaging is super pretty, and the doe foot applicator makes these really easy to apply. I didn’t find these to dry down too quickly either, so you definitely have some time to blend these out, but once they do dry they aren’t going anywhere.
These don’t seem to have too much fall out, unless you start messing with them when they’re dried down. I also didn’t have any problems with creasing or flaking, so I would say that the formula is pretty good!
The shades were all really pigmented, but could also be blended out into something softer if that’s more your vibe. My favourite shade is probably ‘Adelize’, I loved this way more than I expected to; it translated to more of a muted grey-purple on the eye that looked so pretty blended up into the crease.
I love that you could easily apply a single shade of this, blend it up into the crease and voila. You have a super pretty but still easy eyeshadow look.
They’re also fairly easy to layer, you definitely have to go back in a couple of times to add a little more pigment when they get blended away, but you can create a really pretty eye look with these shadows alone.
My favourite thing about these glitter shadows is that they’re super metallic, but they also include bigger chunks of glitter which look absolutely stunning when they catch the light.
They create such a gorgeous foiled look that would be perfect for any kind of evening event where you want a little extra sparkle. I created a little makeup look with these three shadows (see below), and I absolutely love how it turned out.
I blended ‘Adelize’ into the crease and outer corner, applied ‘Seraphina’ all over the lid and ‘Ysmeina’ in the centre of the lid and inner corner.
Overall I’m really impressed with these glitter eyeshadows, I can’t get over how pigmented and foiled they are! They’re also only £10 each, so definitely worth it in my eyes.
I really hope you guys enjoyed this post, let me know in the comments whether you’ve tried out these shadows and what you think of them! See you next time,
